temporalidades e as formas de passagem para a vida
adulta sÃo aqui discutidas tendo o
trabalho como elemento estruturante nas trajetÃrias
e projetos de vida juvenis. A
pesquisa de campo foi realizada no Programa Somar â
SAS, Fortaleza, CearÃ, no
perÃodo de abril a julho de 2004. Este Programa tem
como proposta a qualificaÃÃo
profissional associada ao estÃgio em empresas pÃbli
cas e privadas de jovens estudantes
do ensino mÃdio de escolas pÃblicas, conforme legis
laÃÃo especÃfica. A orientaÃÃo
metodolÃgica apoiou-se em mÃtodos e tÃcnicas de car
Ãter qualitativo, enfatizando os
aspectos intersubjetivos dos fenÃmenos sociais. For
am realizados encontros com 11
jovens dentre estagiÃrios e aprendizes, homens e mu
lheres. ObservaÃÃo participante e
flutuante assim como entrevistas foram tÃcnicas uti
lizadas para compreender e explicar
o cotidiano de jovens trabalhadores e o impacto des
ta experiÃncia na construÃÃo de seus
projetos de vida e identidades. As anÃlises das nar
rativas apontam para uma
hibridizaÃÃo das formas de se operar os ritos de pa
ssagem para a vida adulta. O
trabalho, como elemento estruturante dos projetos d
e vida desta parcela da populaÃÃo
juvenil funciona como oportunidade de sobrevivÃncia
, mas tambÃm como espaÃo de
sociabilidade, de significaÃÃo subjetiva e construÃ
Ão de identidade. As consideraÃÃes
finais revelam as aproximaÃÃes efetuadas ao cotidia
no destes jovens e identificam
elementos homogÃneos quando se pensa a juventude se
gundo uma condiÃÃo geracional,
mas tambÃm que possibilitam interpretar esse segmen
to juvenil pelas especificidades do
contexto em que estÃo inseridos. / This work is an ethnographical approach to the way of being, thinking and acting of youngsters linked to a program of public policy of capacity and professional insertion. The temporality and the passageway to an adult life are discussed here having the work as the structuring element in the itinerary and projects of young lives. The field research was carried out in SOMAR PROGRAM â SAS, Fortaleza, CearÃ, from April to July, 2004. This program has its aim the professional qualification associated with traineeship in public and private companies and young students of public high schools, according to specific legislation. The methodological orientation was based on methods and techniques of qualifying character, the inter-subjective aspects of the social phenomenon. The meetings were held with eleven youngsters. They were trainees and apprentices, men and women. Intermittent participation and observation as well as interviews were techniques used to understand and to explain the everyday life of young workers and the impact of that experience in the building of their projects of lives and identifies. The analyses of narratives point to a mixing of the forms of operation the rituals to the adult life. The work as a structural element of projects of life to this part of young population works not only as an opportunity of survival but also as a space of sociability, of subjective signification and building identity. The final considerations reveal the approximations realized in the everyday life of the young people and identify homogenous elements when we think of the young not only as a generational condition, but also as a segment which presents specifications of the context where they are inserted.
