Previous issue date: 2009-09-17 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The discussions related to sexual education in the scholar spaces, came out in the beginning of
the century XX and only in the decade of 80 became urgent, having observed the high
pregnancy rates in the adolescence and increase in the number of cases of contamination by
the HIV in the country. Facing this chart, the Education and Culture Ministry reassure the
short relation of causes and effects in the public policies in the sexuality, education and health
area, and considers vital the return of the Sexual Education in the schools. The process of
elaboration of the National Curriculum parameters was begun in 1995/96, focused to the
basic, fundamental and secondary cycles which propose the transversal inclusion in the
thematic sexual orientation in all the subjects. It was aimed to analyze under the view of the
educators/managers of the public primary schools of the city of Cajazeiras PB, as the theme
sexual orientation has been incorporated in the pedagogical practices. It is a qualitative
nature study which used the Focal Group and the semi-structured interview with twenty-three
23 educators and eight 8 managers respectively. The empiric material obtained was analyzed
according to the Technique of analysis of content, thematic modality, which culminated in the
following themes: the look of the managers: the official speech versus pedagogic
quotidian ; The dialogicity between values and professional practices ; The (dis)function
school/family in the pedagogic making . The study highlighted that there is a commitment of
the managers towards the insertion of the sexual orientation in the school context, though the
actions are still implemented in a insufficient manner; the educators sign lack o preparation
when they face situations which demands a proclamation about the manifestations of the
students about sexuality; The culture of the sexuality predominates, as factor of human
reproduction and social risk; the school has a secondary role in the approach of questions
which involve the sexuality, adopting postures of omission and/or not responsibleness by the
demandings which are presented in the school environment; the insufficient participation of
the family and inexistence of dialogical practice between school/family institutions favors a
unilateral look of the problematic of the sexuality, generating conflicts of values. It is
suggested an investment in strategies which possibility an approximation between
family/student/school/educator, strengthening the potential generator of formation/
information, consolidating in fact in an operational proposal. It is recommended continuous
formation of the educators aiming paradigmatic changes related to sexuality, involving other
fields of knowledge such as health, sociology, anthropology and history; that the same be
realized in an extensive/inclusive manner and that favor the development of ethic citizens and
aware of their human rights. / As discussões relativas à educação sexual nos espaços escolares, surgiram no início do século
XX e somente na década de 80 tornou-se urgente, tendo em vista as altas taxas de gravidez na
adolescência e aumento do número de casos de contaminação pelo HIV no país. Diante desse
quadro, o Ministério da Educação e Cultura reafirma a estreita relação de causas e efeitos nas
políticas públicas na área da sexualidade, educação e saúde e, considera imprescindível o
retorno da Educação Sexual nas escolas. Inicia-se em 1995/96 o processo de elaboração dos
Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais, voltados para os ciclos básico, fundamental e médio o
qual propõe a inclusão transversal da temática orientação sexual em todas as disciplinas.
Objetivou-se analisar sob a ótica dos educadores/gestores de escolas públicas do ensino
fundamental do município de Cajazeiras - PB, como o tema orientação sexual vem sendo
incorporado nas práticas pedagógicas. Estudo de natureza qualitativa que utilizou o Grupo
Focal e a entrevista semi-estruturada com vinte e três (23) educadores e oito (8) gestores
respectivamente. O material empírico obtido foi analisado segundo a Técnica de Analise de
Conteúdo, modalidade temática, que culminou nos seguintes temas: O olhar dos gestores: o
discurso oficial versus cotidiano pedagógico ; A dialogicidade entre valores e práticas
profissionais ; A (dis) função escola/família no fazer pedagógico . O estudo evidenciou
que há um comprometimento por parte dos gestores no que tange a inserção da orientação
sexual no contexto escolar, porém as ações ainda são implementadas de maneira incipiente; os
educadores assinalam despreparo quando se deparam com situações que exijam um
pronunciamento frente às manifestações dos alunos sobre sexualidade; predomina a cultura da
sexualidade, como fator de reprodução humana e risco social; a escola tem papel secundário
na abordagem das questões que envolvem a sexualidade, adotando postura de omissão e/ou
não responsabilização pelas demandas que se apresentem no ambiente escolar; a insuficiente
participação da família e inexistência de pratica dialógica entre instituições escolares/
familiares favorece um olhar unilateral da problemática da sexualidade, gerando conflito de
valores. Sugere-se investimento em estratégias que possibilitem um entrosamento entre
família/ aluno/escola/educador, fortalecendo o potencial gerador de formação/informação,
consolidando-se de fato em uma proposta operacional. Recomenda-se formação continuada
dos educadores objetivando mudanças paradigmáticas relativas à sexualidade, envolvendo
outros campos do saber como a saúde, sociologia, antropologia e história; que a mesma seja
percebida de maneira extensiva/inclusiva e que propicie o desenvolvimento de cidadãos éticos
e conscientes de seus direitos humanos.
