This study shows the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational commitment in a mental health hospital in Lima based in a sample of 200 workers. The following instruments were applied in order to achieve these results: The Job Satisfaction Questionnaire S21/26 (Melia, 1990) and the Organizational Commitment Scale (Meyer y Allen, 1997). Both instruments were validated for this study with regards to validity of construct and trust worthiness also they proved having adequate psychometric properties The results validated the hypothesis of the research. Finally, the importance of job satisfaction and organizational commitment is discussed. / Tesis
