Previous issue date: 2013-02-22 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / In this study, we aim to identify how the process of recontextualization of scientific discourse to scientific divulgation discourse occurs in the Journal of UFV. For that, we analyzed five reports of scientific divulgation published between October, 2010 and October, 2011 that were titles on the first page the Journal of UFV. In addition to these reports, we analyzed interviews and scientific articles that preceded the recontextualization. The theoretical-methodological support in order to organize the analytical process was based on the critical discourse studies (FAIRCLOUGH, 2001, 2003; VAN LEEUWEN, 2008), focusing on Systemic-Functional Linguistics (HALLIDAY and MATTHIESSEN, 2004), interfacing with the studies developed by Scientific Divulgation Discourse Analysis (CALSAMIGLIA et. al., 2001; CASSANY, LÓPEZ and MARTI, 2000; CIAPUSCIO, 1997). From the theoretical discussion and analysis, we noted that there are two discursive communities involved in the process of recontextualization of scientific divulgation discourse in Journal of UFV, which are: researchers, inserted in the practice of scientific knowledge dissemination , and who have as communicative purposes presenting the research and validate it, and journalists, embedded in practice dissemination of scientific knowledge, with the purpose of informing about the research and exalt it. Between these two distinct communities, lies the interview that, as a representative of the practice of scientific knowledge verification, enable a closer relationship between researchers and journalists. In this sense, the process of recontextualization of the articles is influenced by social practices, discursive communities and by communicative purposes involved. From them, the journalist uses discursive procedures, among which predominate the use of reduction to highlight the benefits and the purposes of the research. It was also possible to note the recurrence of material processes to represent the research, the researcher and UFV, in the reports. This demonstrates the efficacy of this University, and the use of assumptions and attributes to highlight the potential of the research and, together with it, exalt the researcher and UFV. / Neste trabalho, buscamos identificar de que forma ocorre o processo de recontextualização do discurso científico para o divulgativo no Jornal da UFV. Para isso, realizamos a análise de cinco reportagens de divulgação científica publicadas entre outubro de 2010 e outubro de 2011 que foram chamadas de capa do Jornal da UFV. Foram também analisados os artigos científicos e as entrevistas que precederam as reportagens na recontextualização. O processo analítico foi estruturado tendo como suporte teórico-metodológico os estudos discursivos críticos (FAIRCLOUGH, 2001, 2003; VAN LEEUWEN, 2008), usando a Gramática Sistêmico-Funcional (HALLIDAY e MATTHIESSEN, 2004), como ferramenta de investigação, em interface com os estudos desenvolvidos pela Análise do Discurso da Divulgação Científica (CALSAMIGLIA et. al., 2001; CASSANY, LÓPEZ e MARTÍ, 2000; CIAPUSCIO, 1997). Verificamos, a partir da discussão teórica e das análises, que há duas comunidades discursivas envolvidas no processo de recontextualização da reportagem de divulgação científica no Jornal da UFV, são elas: a de pesquisadores, inseridos na prática de disseminação do conhecimento científico, e que têm como propósitos comunicativos apresentar a pesquisa e validá-la; e a de jornalistas, inseridos na prática de divulgação do conhecimento científico, como propósito informar sobre a pesquisa e exaltá-la. Entre essas duas comunidades distintas, situa-se a entrevista que, como representante da prática de apuração do conhecimento científico, possibilita a aproximação entre pesquisadores e jornalistas. Nesse sentido, o processo de recontextualização das reportagens analisadas é influenciado pelas práticas sociais, pelas comunidades discursivas e pelos propósitos comunicativos envolvidos. A partir deles, a jornalista utiliza procedimentos discursivos, dentre os quais, predomina o uso da redução para se destacar os benefícios e as finalidades das pesquisas. Também foi possível notar a recorrência de processos materiais para representar a pesquisa, o pesquisador e a UFV, nas reportagens, demonstrando a eficácia dos trabalhos nessa Universidade; e o uso de pressuposições e de atributos para se destacar as potencialidades da pesquisa e junto com elas exaltar o pesquisador e a UFV.
