Previous issue date: 2015-02-20 / Esta investigação objetiva analisar a experiência de mulheres evangélicas, ativistas do Movimento de Mulheres Trabalhadoras Rurais do Sertão Central de Pernambuco (MMTR-SCdePE), sobre a morte de que são testemunhas. Para tal, fundamenta-se em uma abordagem teórica e metodológica de Pesquisa Narrativa. O argumento central é de que a trajetória religiosa dessas ativistas forja um modo particular de experiência e compreensão da morte. Para ter acesso às tramas e trilhas da morte em suas vidas, foi lançado mão de uma etnografia narrativa, utilizando como instrumentos, entrevistas narrativas, diários de campo, máquina fotográfica, fotografias e imersão in loco de pesquisa. Ao todo, foram 41 dias de permanência e convívio com as interlocutoras, em seus locais de fé, militância e moradia. A análise está estruturada a partir de dois eixos centrais e complementares. No primeiro são analisadas narrativas textuais, produzidas através de entrevistas gravadas e em sequência transcritas. No segundo, é realizada uma análise visual de fotografias sobre a morte feitas pelas mulheres. Os resultados indicam um intercruzamento entre a experiência da morte que foi testemunhada e a experiência religiosa com a divindade cristã protestante, que revela uma morte próxima e transforma esse evento em um fortalecimento de vida e de fé, podendo servir, inclusive, na conquista de novas conversões. Por outro lado, existe uma outra forma na religiosidade protestante rural de vivenciar essa experiência, através de anúncios da natureza. Nesse caso, a divindade intervém e fala através de sinais naturais, ao contrário de revelar-se diretamente ao fiel. Essa forma de contato, expressa vestígios de um catolicismo popular de raiz que não foi deixado totalmente de lado após a conversão das mulheres pesquisadas, pelo contrário, complementou-se ao seu novo sistema de crenças. / This investigation has the objective of analyzing the experience of evangelical, activists women who are in a rural working women committee of the central backwoods of Pernambuco state (Movimento de Mulheres Trabalhadoras Rurais do Sertão de Pernambuco – MMTR-SCdePE) about the deaths they are witness of. For that, it is based on a methodological-theoretical approach of narrative research. The main argument is that the religious course of such women forges a particular way of experiencing and understanding death. In order to have access to the plots and tracks of death in their lives, it was made use of a narrative ethnography, taking as tools such things as speaking interviews, on field diaries, photo camera and immersion into the loco of research. Altogether, it took 41 days of staying and acquaintanceship with the interlocutors in their places of faith, activism and residence. The analysis is structured by two central-complementary pillars. In the first, examination of texts produced by recorded interviews that get transcripted soon after. In the second, a visual analysis of photos of deaths taken by those women is done. The outcomes indicate an intercrossing between the experience of the death that was witnessed and the religious experience with the protestant christian divinity, which reveals that a nearby death turns this event into a strengthening of life and faith, it may be used, by the way, for the conquer of new converts. On the other side, there is another manner to live that experience on the rural protestant religiosity. It happens through nature announcements. In this case, the divinity intervenes and speaks through natural signs, instead of revealing itself directly to the believer. That way of contact express vestiges of a root popular catholicism which was not totally left aside after the convert of the researched women, on the contrary, it joined their new system of beliefs.
