This study is mainly centered around digitization and its effects on education. Through the use of qualitative discourse analysis based in social constructionism, texts from The European Union, The Swedish Government as well as The Swedish National Agency for Education are analyzed and compared in order to answer the questions regarding the way digitization is displayed in these different levels of society compared against one another in order to reveal differences and similarities. This study suggests that there are many similarities mainly between the texts from The Swedish Government and The European Union with the main focal point being the importance of democracy, digital competence and equivalence when it comes to digitization within education. Though there may be issues unique to digitization and technological tools, the three texts agree that it is necessary to properly educate the students and help them learn how to properly and safely use these tools.
