Vårens kandidatuppgift var att rita en förskola i Vasalund, Solna. Området domineras av stora trafikleder och kommunikation men med två stora naturområden precis i närheten, Råstasjön och Hagaparken. Dessa två områden utgör de viktigaste natur- och rekreationsområdena i Solna kommun. Projektet har dels haft sin utgångspunkt i mina egna minnen från förskoletiden där en stor del av tiden spenderades utomhus i den närliggande skogen men också i situationen där stadsbarn allt mindre ges en chans att vistas i naturen eller bilda en förståelse för årstidernas växlingar och naturens processer. Utifrån dessa inledande tankar väcktes nyfikenheten för utomhuspedagogik, där inomhusmiljön ses som ett komplement till utomhusmiljön. Projektet har inspirerats av utomhuspedagogik där man ser inomhusmiljön som ett komplement till utomhusmiljön. Utifrån dessa ingångsvärden landade projektet i två viktiga punkter, 1) det ska finnas en växelverkan mellan inomhus och utomhus 2) naturliga förlopp och hållbarhet ska synliggöras i utformningen och vara en del av den vardagliga verksamheten. / The given task during this project was to draw a preschool in Vasalund, Solna in the suburbs of Stockholm. The area is dominated of heavily trafficed roads and communication but with two large recreational outdoor areas close by, Råsta lake and Haga Park. These two areas are the most important nature- and recreational areas in Solna county. The project is partly based upon my own memories from the years I spent in preschool, where we spent a lot of time in the forest just around the corner but it is also based upon the situation where children being raised in cities gives no chance to spend time in nature or to comprehend changes by season and the natural processen around us. Based on these thoughts a curiosity for outdoor learning was founded, the pedagogy sees the indoor environment as a complement to the outdoor environment. Based on these different thoughts the concept is reduced to two important things, 1) there should be an interaction between the indoor and outdoor environment, 2) the passage of events in nature and sustainability should be visable in the design of the building and be a part of the daily operation at the preschool.
