Die Dissertation untersucht anhand der Hauptnachrichtensendungen des deutschen Fernsehens das Zusammenwirken von Sprache und Bild (Schlagzeilen, Filmberichte, Fotos und Bildkompositionen), deren Verständlichkeit und emotionalen Einfluss auf die Zuschauern. Begleitet wird die Untersuchung durch eine statistische Auswertung zur Nachrichtenwahrnehmung und eine Analyse der Sprache der Fernsehnachrichten anhand der Aspekte Kohärenz und Kohäsion. Außerdem werden gemeinsame und trennende Elemente in der Text- und Bildwahrnehmung erörtert. Die Ergebnisse werden auch anhand der Textsorte "Schlagzeile" dargestellt. / The dissertation analyses the co-operation of language and pictures (banner headlines, news films, photos and composings of pictures) as well as the comprehensibility and the emotional influence on the viewers using the main german news shows as an example. The analysis is accompanied by a statistic evaluation concerning the perception of news shows and by an overview of the language on television on the basis of coherence and cohesiveness. Furthermore conjunctive and disjunctive elements of the text and picture perception are discussed. The results are even deepened with the description of banner headlines on TV.
