Vi ville se vilka uppfattningar som finns om vad en specialpedagog bör lägga stor vikt vid i sitt arbete och vad som uppfattas som specialpedagogisk verksamhet. Vi har haft funderingar på vad som är så speciellt med specialpedagogiken och velat undersöka hur en specialpedagog verkligen arbetar. Hur uppfattas specialpedagogens arbete av de övriga pedagogerna, finns det samstämmighet i synen, vad anser ledningen om specialpedagogik och hur kan vi bäst bemöta varje individ vi möter. Detta är några av delarna som arbetat med när vi skalat och förhoppningsvis närmat oss kärnan i specialpedagogiken.Vi valde att göra en kvalitativ undersökning med hermeneutisk forskningsanalys med avstamp i KASAM och Vygotskijs sociokulturella teori.Undersökningen resulterade dels i att specialpedagogen måste marknadsföra sitt yrke och dels måste lägga stor vikt vid att se varje individ. We wanted to see what perceptions that exist about what a special education teacher should attach great importance to their work and what is perceived as special needs education. We have had concerns about what is so special about special education and wanted to explore how a special education really works. How is special education work of the other teachers, there is consistency in the approach, what is the management of special education and how can we best respond to every individual we meet. These are some of the parts that worked when we peeled and hopefully closer to the core of special education. We chose to do a qualitative study of hermeneutical research analysis builds on KASAM and Vygotsky's sociocultural theory. The investigation resulted partly in the special education teachers must market their profession and also must attach great importance to see each individual.
