_________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / The following work is the result of theoretical and practical research, and was based upon the artistic project developed by the Grupo Mesa de Luz1, formed by the visual artists Hieronimus do Vale, Tomás Seferin and Marta Mencarini. The research was launched from a description of the construction processes in the work performed by the group. Its purpose is to analyze the resulting creative, technical, operational, performative and multimedia aspects of this work. In order to achieve the aforementioned goal, we considered the following parameters: philosophers Gilles Deleuze’s and Félix Guattari’s concept of Agency, regarding multiplicity; the tactilevisual relation, as taught by philosopher Walter Benjamin; and the concept of composition, as defined by philosopher Baruch Spinoza in Espinoza: practical philosophy of Gilles Deleuze. Fundamental elements of the processes of construction applied by the Grupo Mesa de Luz were identified. Also, the relations between theorists of art and technology, as well as between philosophy and the work of visual artists that use similar processes in the conception of their art, were established. The goal was to investigate the characteristics that reveal themselves in utilizing collage as a language in multimedia performances as multiplicity processes.
