Previous issue date: 2007 / Esta pesquisa avalia como os Tribunais brasileiros vêm tratando e disponibilizando as informações de valor histórico em seus sítios. É crescente a adesão desses Tribunais às tecnologias da informação, principalmente à Internet, adaptando seus produtos e serviços tradicionais à rede e criando novas possibilidades de acesso à informação. Num primeiro momento, busca destacar exemplos de projetos de criação de espaços de memória de alguns Tribunais, destacando suas características mais significativas. O universo da pesquisa é constituído pelos sítios dos Tribunais Superiores (Supremo Tribunal Federal, Superior Tribunal de Justiça, Superior Tribunal Militar, Tribunal Superior Eleitoral e Tribunal Superior do Trabalho) e dos 27 Tribunais de Justiça de todos os estados e do Distrito Federal. Inicialmente, identifica os sítios dos Tribunais através dos mecanismos de busca disponíveis na Internet, as unidades de informação disponíveis nesses sítios e o tipo de informação disponibilizada (principalmente a informação com valor histórico). Posteriormente, essas informações são analisadas e avaliadas, por meio de uma planilha em forma de checklist, com as seguintes funções propostas por Amaral & Guimarães (2002a): informacional, promocional, instrucional, referencial, de pesquisa e de comunicação, adaptadas a cada tipo de unidade de informação (Arquivo, Biblioteca, Museu e outras unidades depositárias de informação) dos Tribunais, representadas na rede. Os sítios são analisados conforme as seguintes categorias: folheto eletrônico, unidade de informação no mundo virtual ou unidade de informação realmente interativa. Os resultados revelam que, principalmente em relação à informação de caráter histórico, os Tribunais brasileiros utilizam seus sítios basicamente como um folder institucional de seus serviços, produtos e informações gerais sobre a instituição, sendo que eles ainda não possuem um papel fundamental na consolidação dos objetivos da justiça junto à sociedade, além da falta de apoio à pesquisa histórica. Percebe-se ainda que o interesse no desenvolvimento das novas tecnologias da informação, a serviço das atividades dos Tribunais destinadas aos usuários, é crescente, permitindo uma maior interatividade e um rápido acesso aos serviços da justiça por parte dos cidadãos.
________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This research evaluates as the Brazilian Courts come treating and becomeavailable the information of historical value in its sites. The adhesion of these Courts is increasing to the technologies of the information, mainly to the Internet, adapting its traditional products and services to the net and creating new possibilities of access to the information. At a first moment, it searchs to detach examples of projects of creation of spaces of memory of some Courts, being detached its more significant characteristics. The universe of the research is constituted by the sites of the Superior Courts (Supremo Tribunal Federal, Superior Tribunal de Justiça, Superior Tribunal Militar, Tribunal Superior Eleitoral e Tribunal Superior do Trabalho) and of the 27 Courts of Justice of all the states and of the Distrito Federal. Initially, it identifies the sites of the Courts through the available mechanisms of search in the Internet, the available units of information in these sites and the type of available information (mainly the information with historical value). Later, these information are analyzed and evaluated, by means of a spread sheet in form of checklist, with the following functions proposals for Amaral & Guimarães (2002a): informational, promotional, instructional, referential, of research and communication, adapted to each type of unit of information (Archive, Library, Museum and others units information depositaries) of the Courts, represented in the net. The sites are analyzed in agreement the following categories: electronic brochure, unit of information in the virtual world or unit of really interactive information. The results disclose that, mainly in relation to the information of historical character, the Brazilian Courts use its sites basically as to institutional folder of its services, general products and information on the institution, being that they not yet possess a basic incumbency in the consolidationof the objectives of justice near to the society, beyond the lack of support to the historical research. It is perceived despite the interest in the development of the new technologies of the information, the service of the activities of the Courts destined to the users, is increasing, allowing to a bigger interaction and a fast access to the services of justice on the part of the citizens.
