Previous issue date: 2007-01-16 / Este trabalho apresenta um estudo de caso de dois projetos que receberam recursos da linha de infra-estrutura do Programa Nacional de Fortalecimento da Agricultura Familiar (PRONAF). Os projetos estão situados na Região Administrativa de Planaltina, no Distrito Federal, Brasil. Nos anos de 1999 e 2000 ocorreu a destinação de recursos do PRONAF para tais projetos serem executados, respectivamente, no Assentamento Sítio Novo-1 e na Cooperativa dos Produtores de Hortaliças de Planaltina (Cootaquara). O estudo de caso tem como objeto de pesquisa a opinião dos agricultores familiares sobre os benefícios trazidos pela aplicação dos recursos do Pronaf nesses dois projetos. O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar, a partir do ponto de vista dos agricultores familiares beneficiados, a influência das ações executadas por tais projetos nas dimensões do desenvolvimento sustentável. Foram abordadas no trabalho as seguintes dimensões consideradas relevantes para o avanço do desenvolvimento sustentável: social, ambiental, política, econômica e territorial. A partir do que estudiosos consideram acerca de tais dimensões, montou-se um roteiro de entrevistas semi-estruturadas com os agricultores familiares. Observou-se que o recurso do PRONAF teve importância diferenciada entre as duas situações estudadas. Na análise observou-se a importância da organização dos agricultores familiares para promover um melhor desempenho da utilização do recurso público provindo do PRONAF. _______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This work presents a case study of two projects that had received resources from the nfrastructure line of the National Program of Family Agriculture Strengthening - PRONAF . he projects are situated in the Administrative Region of Planaltina, in the Federal District, Brazil. In the years of 1999 and 2000 occurred the destination of PRONAF’s resources to hese projects to be executed, respectively, in rural land settlement Sítio Novo-1 and the Cooperative of the Producers of Vegetables of Planaltina (Cootaquara). This case study has s research object the opinion of the familiar farmers on the benefits brought for the pplication of Pronaf’s resources in both projects. The objective of this work is to analyze, rom the point of view of the benefited familiar farmers, the influence of the actions executed or such projects on the dimensions of the sustainable development. It had been boarded in his work the following dimensions considered important for the advance of the sustainable evelopment: social, environmental, political, economic and territorial. From what studious onsider about such dimensions, a script of interviews with the familiar farmers was made. It was observed that PRONAF’s resources were important for the two studied situations, but in ifferent way. In the analysis it was observed the importance of the familiar farmers rganization to promote a better performance of the utilization of PRONAF’s resources.
