Implementering av Agenda 2030 i Sveriges kommuner : En kvalitativ studie om hur Sveriges kommuner arbetar och värderar Agenda 2030 / Implementation of Agenda 2030 in Sweden’s municipalities : A qualitative study of how Sweden’s municipalities work and value Agenda 2030

Urbanisation has affected cities and municipalities in different ways where planning for sustainable development has become more important. The need for greener thinking is radically shown in UN: s global environmental goals where the greenhouse effect is assumed to have a big impact on society. Therefore, Agenda 2030 has chosen to involve more levels of society in form of putting bigger responsibility on countries regions and municipalities. With the new global goals of Agenda 2030 every country must contribute in the best way possible. For this thesis was goal 11, sustainable development, chosen to examine the workflow and value in the Swedish municipality Umeå, Borås and Lund. With a higher requirement for municipalities to implement the new goals in their already existing plan can barriers appear without good planning. By studying municipalities ability to adapt to new global goals, interesting views can be discussed. By this form of study, we can therefor draw a conclusion of how the implementation of the global goals from Un is working in Swedish municipalities.
