The history of outdoor life- and recreat bo back about 100 years. During this period this practice and view of outdoor life and recreation has changed. As a future teacher and with the essay's pupose it is of importance to gain and understanding from both people in general and pupils from different social classes and backgrounds regarding what they may think about certain things and in this case what they may think about outdoor life- and recreation. Furthermore, the purpose with this essay has been how socioeconomic background and conditions mau impackt pupils' attitude regarding several claims that can be found in the survey. Also, what the pupils want to lear regarding outdoor life- and recreation and its pedagogy. Subsequently the purpose with the stude has been to ascertain how frequently outdoor life- and recreation has occured in their Pysical Education both in elemantary school as well as secondary school. This study draws on Pierre Bourdieu's idea who argues that humans are socially programmed depending on where and how we as humans grow up. Further on, the study is based on a quantative method as a servey was sent out to pupils attending secondary school.  The total amount answering teh survey was 195. In this study, sveral claim that can be found in the survey has been comared against the pupils's social background. From sthe studen one can conclude that the students have not received a great deal of instruction and guidance regarding outdoor life- and recreation. The participants in the studey draws from a rahter homogenous group and they have got a quite firm dn assertive oponiion regarding the different claims that can be found in the survey. Decisive of the students' social background they though that outdoor life- and recreation is a major poart of society, furhter on they also believed that outdoor life. and recreation is available to everyone. A broad majority from each side also thought that outdoorlife- and recreation shout set place in tature. One can lso find an insecurity wheter there should be more or less education regarding this topic. Lastly, as a fortcoming teacher in Physical Education it is important ot reflect on outdoor life- and recreation nad its pedagogy and hoq you may plan and adjust how yousself may teach this topic
