Detta projekt, som är placerat på taket av en redan befintlig kontorsbyggnad i Stockholm, utforskar gränsen för bostadsgårdens relevans i den urbana kontexten. Arbetet strävar efter att använda bostadsgården som ett verktyg för att skapa social trygghet och motarbeta den ökande ensamheten i staden. Gården får här fungera som en brygga mellan hemmet och staden, en begränsad social kontext som motverkar stadens anonymitet och bjuder in till gemenskap. Genom att se på bostadsgården som det rum i hemmet vilket boende har lättast att dela med andra, erbjuder den också den mest lättillgängliga och enklaste formen av kollektiv. Med detta synsätt i bakgrunden har projektet formats för att i varje detalj försöka locka, underlätta för, och ibland styra, de boende till att använda gården så mycket som möjligt. På så sätt ökas den sociala kontaktytan grannar emellan och anknytningar kan formas. / Through its placement on top of an existing office building in central Stockholm, this project explores the relevance of the residential yard in the urban context. In an effort to help combat the increasing loneliness in the city the project aspires to use the residential yard as a tool to create a stable social foundation for the residents. The residential yard is set to function as a bridge between private and public by offering a community through a limited social context that breaks the anonymity of the city. By viewing the yard as the most easily shared room in the home, it has the potential to effer the most accessible form of collective living. Through this way of looking, the project has been developed in all aspects to attract, facilitate for, and guide the residents to utilise the yard as much as possible. In that way the contacts between neighbours are intensified and multiplied, creating an environment for social bonds to form.
