Bakgrund: Det finns mycket forskning som beskriver följsamhet till hygienrutiner på operation. Florence Nightingale har med sin omvårdnadsteori bidragit till att skapa grunden för hygienrutiner som praktiseras i samtidens omvårdnad. Följsamhet till hygienrutinerna på operationsavdelningen är en viktig aspekt för att undvika postoperativa komplikationer, samt smitta mellan personal och patient. Covid-19 pandemin har påverkat hela sjukvården, mycket fokus har lagts på ändrade hygienrutiner. Syfte: Att undersöka operationspersonalens upplevelser av hygienrutiner under covid-19 pandemin. Metod: Fem semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med operationspersonal och dessa analyserades med en kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Resultat: I resultatet framkom fyra teman, ökad medvetenhet om användandet av hygienrutiner, påverkad arbetsmiljö, osäkerhet kring riktlinjer och otrygghet. Konklusion: Operationspersonalen har under covid-19 pandemin fått en ökad medvetenhet om hygienrutiner och varit positiva till att använda skyddsutrustning. Dock har skyddsutrustningen av sämre kvalité bidragit till upplevelser som påverkad arbetsmiljö, osäkerhet och otrygghet. / Background: There are several studies that describe compliance with hygiene routines on surgery. Florence Nightingale has with her nursing theory contributed to creating the basis for hygiene routines that are practiced in contemporary nursing. Adherence to the hygiene routines in the operating room is an important aspect in order to avoid postoperative complications, as well as infection between staff and patient. The Covid19 pandemic has affected healthcare in several ways and hygiene routines have changed. Aim: To investigate the operating staff's experiences of hygiene routines during the covid-19 pandemic. Method: Five semi-structured interviews were conducted on surgical staff and analyzed according to a qualitative content analysis. Results: The results revealed four themes, increased awareness of hygiene routines, affected work environment, uncertainty about guidelines and false security. Conclusion: During the covid-19 pandemic, the operating personnel have gained an increased awareness of hygiene routines and have been positive about using protective equipment. However, protective equipment of inferior quality has contributed to an affected work environment, insecurity and false security.
