Previous issue date: 2012-01-25 / To present the panel of African folktales in oral tradition, retold by Brazilian authors, specifically for juvenile readers, the present work analyzes the functions and characteristics of the African oral folktales teller, usually known as gri?, in order to outline its spectacular characteristics of performance; until recognize, finally, the geographical areas of attachment of different ethnicities of black slaves in Brazil and the territories from which the stories got spread to the rest of the country. Considering the contribution of folklorists as the first attempt to organize an anthology of African folktales in Brazil, we finally got the point of the migration of this legacy for children s and youth literature, through the works of authors that initiated new steps to the establishment of the African folktales in Brazil. Joel Rufino dos Santos, Rog?rio Andrade Barbosa and Reginaldo Prandi have dealt with their own specific method, and in distinct historical moments. The present work also investigates the rising of a specific popular stories category, named as recount, arising from the multicultural register and resulting of the narrative transculturation process; and proposes the reading of these authors works, taking the notion of fear as the central subject and questioning the existence of an Afro-Brazilian poetic all these essential elements to expand the horizons of the young reader. / Para compor o painel dos contos tradicionais africanos de transmiss?o oral recontados por escritores brasileiros, especificamente para o leitor infantojuvenil, a presente tese parte das fun??es e das caracter?sticas do contador tradicional africano, de modo geral denominado gri?, para ent?o delinear o car?ter espetacular e perform?tico de sua atua??o; at? reconhecer, por fim, os espa?os geogr?ficos de fixa??o das diferentes etnias dos negros escravos no Brasil e os territ?rios a partir dos quais as hist?rias se irradiaram para o restante do pa?s. Considerando a contribui??o dos folcloristas como a primeira tentativa de organiza??o de uma antologia do conto popular tradicional africano em terras brasileiras, chegamos finalmente ? migra??o desse legado para a literatura infantojuvenil, atrav?s da obra de autores que inauguraram novas etapas no processo de estabelecimento do conto popular africano. Joel Rufino dos Santos, Rog?rio Andrade Barbosa e Reginaldo Prandi, lidaram com esses contos de maneira espec?fica e diversa, em momentos hist?ricos distintos. A presente tese tamb?m investiga o surgimento de uma categoria espec?fica de hist?rias populares, denominada reconto, surgida a partir do registro multicultural e resultante do processo de transcultura??o narrativa; prop?e ainda uma leitura das obras dos autores citados tomando como figura central a no??o de medo e questiona a exist?ncia de uma po?tica afro-brasileira - todos estes elementos essenciais para a amplia??o de horizontes do jovem leitor.
