Den mediala uppmärksamheten kring #metoo-uppropen som skakade de svenska arbetsplatserna : En kvantitativ innehållsanalys av svenska dagstidningar / The medial attention to the #metoo call that shook the Swedish workplaces : A quantitative content analysis of Swedish newspapers

This study aims to examine how the medial attention looks like through a quantitative content analysis based on the variables: presentation, focus, type of person and the text of the following call: #tystnadtagning, #utantystnadsplikt, #givaktochbitihop and #vikokaröver in the Swedish newspapers Dagens Nyheter, Svenska Dagbladet, Aftonbladet Webb and Expressen Webb. This is investigated on the basis of Agenda setting and theories of news evaluation. The conclusions emerged from this study are that #tystnadtagning has received the largest media attention, one reason why #tystnadtagning has received the most attention can be because it was the first call to be published. The newspapers focus most on personal and problematic articles and it is reported most about public figures. The most widely used texts are interview, closely followed by news articles. Based on the theoretical assumptions used in this study, one reason why #tystnadtagning has received the most attention is due to the news evaluation´s elite centering and agenda setting priority of object or event
