In today´s society we are surrounded by technology that constantly is evolving and it is interesting to explore how primary school students experience the technology. The purpose of the study is to contribute with more knowledge of how students in the age of seven to nine years old perceive the subject technology and what the interest in technology looks like. It is also investigated if there are any gender differences in perception and interest in technology in the younger ages. The study has a qualitative method approach, and the material has been colected by interviewing nine students in primary school. The data has been analyzed based on a phenomenographic perspective. A central result was that pupils connect technology to high technology like computers and phones. It was also found that pupils in this age have a generally interest and a curiosity about technology, some pupils more and some pupils less.
