Ungdomskriminalitet är ett samhällsproblem som både socialsekreterare och fältarbetare inom socialtjänsten möter och behöver hantera. Därav är studiens syfte att utforska hur socialsekreterare och fältarbetare inom socialtjänsten arbetar för att förebygga ungdomskriminaliteten. Således ligger fokus vid dessa två yrkesgruppers perspektiv. Studien bygger på en kvalitativ metod med sex semistrukturerade intervjuer med socialsekreterare och fältarbetare inom socialtjänsten. Det empiriska materialet analyserades med hjälp av en tematisk analys, tidigare forskning och teorier såsom sociala band och systemteori samt det teoretiska begreppet handlingsutrymme. Resultatet utgår från olika teman genererat från den tematiska analysen. Den visar på att socialsekreterare betonar vikten av tidiga insatser och samverkan med olika aktörer. Fältarbetare betonar vikten av relationsskapande, motivation, de vuxnas närvarande och ungas deltagande i olika aktiviteter. Samverkan mellan fältgruppen och socialsekreterare visar sig vara nödvändigt för att på ett effektivt sätt arbeta förebyggande. I resultatet framkom även att det föreligger utmaningar såsom tidsbrist och motivation som kan försvåra det förebyggande arbetet mot ungdomskriminalitet. / Juvenile delinquency is a societal issue that social workers and fieldworkers in the social services encounter and need to address. Therefore, the aim of this study is to explore how social workers and fieldworkers in social services work to prevent youth crime. Thus, the focus is on the perspectives of these two occupational groups. The study is based on a qualitative method with six semi-structured interviews with social workers and field workers in social services. The empirical material was analyzed using a thematic analysis, previous research and theories such as social bonds and systems theory as well as the theoretical concept of room for actions. The result is based on different themes generated from the thematic analysis. It shows that social workers emphasize the importance of early intervention and collaboration with various actors. Field workers emphasize the importance of relationship building, motivation, the adults present and young people's participation in various activities. Cooperation between the field group and social workers proves to be necessary in order to work effectively in prevention. The results also revealed that there are various challenges such as lack of time and motivation that can make the preventive work against youth crime more difficult.
