Att vårda sin närstående i livets slut i hemmet kan av anhörigvårdare upplevas både psykiskt, emotionellt och fysiskt ansträngande. Det har även visat sig att distriktsköterskan upplever det svårt att tillgodose det stöd anhörigvårdarna anser sig vara i behov av. Andelen patienter som väljer att avsluta sina liv i hemmet med stöd av palliativ hemsjukvård ökar. En litteraturstudie genomfördes med syfte att undersöka anhörigvårdarnas upplevda behov av stöd när de vårdar en närstående i livets slut i hemmet. Anhörigvårdarnas upplevelse i vad som var stödjande sågs vara subjektivt, dock fanns i litteraturstudien gemensamma nämnare med utgångspunkt från begreppet stöd så som; instrumentellt stöd, emotionellt stöd samt informativt stöd. Behov finns av fortsatt forskning kring den palliativa hemsjukvården då fler väljer att avsluta sina liv i hemmet och andelen anhörigvårdare kommer öka. Det föreligger då en vikt i att distriktsköterskan är rätt rustad för att tillgodose anhörigas upplevda behov av stöd. / To be a family caregiver at the end of life in homecare can be experienced as psychologically, emotionally and physicaly exhausting. It has also been found that the districtnurse finds it difficult to meet the needs of support that the family caregivers are in need of. The proportion of patients who choose to end their life at home through palliative homecare increases. A litterature study was conducted with the purpose of examining the perceived needs of family caregivers when they cared for a close one in the end of life at home. The family caregivers experience of support was considered subjective, but the literaturestudy showed there were common denominators of support such as; instrumental support, emotional support and informative support. There is a need for continued research on palliative home care as more people choose to end their lives at home and the proportion of family caregivers´are increasing. It is therefore important that the districtnurse is properly equipped to meet the needs of support that caregiver´s inquire for.
