Bakgrund: Den palliativa vården som utförs i hemmet har blivit allt vanligare.Anhöriga är ett stort stöd för patienten i den palliativa hemsjukvården samtidigt som det är en utmaning för dem att hantera den påfrestande situationen. Det är sjuksköterskans uppgift att stödja och finnas tillgänglig för anhöriga i den palliativa vården när de är i behov av det.Syfte: Litteraturstudiens syfte var att belysa anhörigas upplevelser av stöd från sjuksköterskan vid palliativ vård i hemmet.Metod: En litteraturstudie med tio kvalitativa studier genomfördes och resultatet sammanställdes genom en innehållsanalys.Resultat: Anhörigas upplevelser av stöd från sjuksköterskan i den palliativa hemsjukvården sammanställdes till tre kategorier: Tillgänglighet; Informativt stöd; Praktiskt stöd. Anhöriga upplevde ett stort ansvar för patienten i den palliativa vården. Hjälp och stöd från sjuksköterskan medförde en ökad trygghet för de anhöriga. Vid bristande stöd från sjuksköterskan, blev anhöriga sårbara och deras välbefinnande påverkades negativt.Konklusion: Palliativ vård i hemmet kan innebära en svår period för anhöriga till patienten. Anhöriga behöver olika mycket stöd som sjuksköterskan måste ta hänsyn till. Det är viktigt att anhöriga är välinformerade, att de får vara delaktiga i omvårdnaden i livets slutskede och även får möjligheten till avlastning samt att det finns en sjuksköterska tillgänglig när de är i behov av stöd. Likaså är det viktigt att anhöriga får stöd från sjuksköterskan efter patienten avlidit. / Background: The palliative care performed in the home has become more common. Relatives are a big support for the patient in palliative home care. at the same time, it’s a challenge for them to handle the stressful situation. It is the nurse’s role to support the relatives in the palliative care when they are in need of it. Aim: The aim of the literature study was to illustrate relatives experiences of support from nurses in palliative care at home.Method: A literature review with ten qualitative studies was conducted and the result was compiled through a content analysis. Result: Relatives' experiences of support from the nurse in palliative home care were compiled into three categories: Accessibility; Informative support; and Practical support. Relatives experienced a great responsibility for the patient in the palliative home care. Help and support from the nurse resulted in increased security for the relatives. In the absence of support from the nurse, relatives became vulnerable and their well-being decreased.Conclusion: The palliative care at home can be a difficult period for relatives of the patient. Relatives need different types of support that the nurse has to take in account. It´s important that relatives are well informed, that they may be involved in the nursing care and also have the possibility to be relieved and have an available nurse when they are in need of support. Likewise, it´s important that relatives receive support from the nurse after the patient's death.
