<p>Dagens organisationer använder sig allt mer av integrerade systemlösningar för att på så sätt kunna bli effektivare i sina processer (Myerson, 2001). Det finns flera orsaker som lig-ger till grund till detta, så som till exempel lägre kostnader för organisationen, och att göra den mer konkurrenskraftig på marknaden (Myerson, 2001). Fördelen med integrerade sy-stem är att de möjliggör för till exempel att två skilda avdelningar inom en organisation kan kommunicera med varandra, med hjälp av mindre eller större nätverk, oberoende av var de än befinner sig i världen. Med hjälp av detta så kan de dela vital information, vilket kan be-hövas inom de respektive avdelningarna. Då de flesta organisationer på ett eller annat sätt arbetar med kundinformation, som till exempel personnummer, så måste det finnas någon form av skydd mot både yttre och inre hot.</p><p>Dessa hot mot integrerade system i organisationerna leder till misstro hos kunden samtidigt som det även lyfter fram de problem som kan skapas av dem, vilket leder till att kunderna kan komma att fråga sig själva om deras personliga information är tillräckligt skyddade.</p><p>Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka om kommunens befintliga integrerade system är till-räckligt pålitliga när det kommer till individens personliga information.</p><p>För att kunna nå fram till ett resultat så fokuserade vi arbetet på hur det ser ut i praktiken, eftersom det inte finns så många studier kring integrerade system och säkerhet rörande per-sonlig information. På detta sätt kunde vi få fram tillräckligt mycket data för att skapa ett resultat. Dock inte utan tidigare studier som gjordes inom informationsteknologi och sä-kerhet.</p><p>Slutsaten utav den undersökning som gjort är att dagens integrerade system kan anses som både pålitliga och säkra, rörande skyddet av den personliga informationen, när det kommer till externa hot. Men i vissa fall saknas skyddet och pålitligheten mot interna hot. Detta be-tyder att det enda existerande hot kan vara personal inom en organisation som har hand om den personliga information, trots att de har klara rutiner kring hur man ska hantera den.</p> / <p>Organizations today use integrated system solutions more and more, in order to be more effective in their processes (Myerson, 2001). There are several reasons which underlie this, such as for example lower costs for the organization, and to make it a stronger competitive stand on the market (Myerson, 2001). The benefit from integrated systems is that it enables for an example two different parted departments within an organization to communicate with eachother, with the help of smaller or bigger networks, independable where they are in the world. With the help of integrated systems they can share needed vital information be-tween the different departments in a more effective way. Since organizations in one way or another work in the integrated systems with customer information, for an example social security number, thus must there be somekind of safety from both internal and external threats (Bragg, 2003).</p><p>These threats against the integrated systems in the organizations lead to a mistrust with the customer and at the same time they highlights the problems which could emerge from them. In turn, this may lead to a question where the customers aks them selves if their per-sonal information is enough protected.</p><p>The purpose with this essay is to find out if the protection of integrity in the Swedish community’s existing integrated systems is reliable when it comes to personal information of the individual.</p><p>In order to maintain a result the work of the essay was focused on both excisting facts and collected information about how the reality behaved. Due to the lack of studies in the area of integrated systems and the security grasping the individual’s personal information there were more time spend on collecting information. This way there could be enough data ga-thered to start summarize and get a result.</p><p>Summarize of the survey is that today’s integrated systems are both secure and reliable enough to protect the personal information against external threats. However in some cas-es it lacks the protection in internal threats. This means that the only existing threat could be the person working and handling the personal information thus the organizations use clear and stated routines in the everyday work.</p>
