Phonological regularities of consonant systems across Khoisan lineages

This paper challenges two basic assumptions connected with the traditional analysis of consonants in Khoisan languages. A different approach to these issues, which can do away with two major typological anomalies of Khoisan phoneme systems under the traditional view, is presented.
