This essay aims to investigate the protection of temporary workers have in questions regarding pay. Through a legal dogmatic method have the directive 2008/104/EG regarding equal treatment for temporary staff been analyzed. The thesis states that the directives implementation in national law have been playing a major role in developing a stronger legal protection for the workers in question of pay. In the research of the essay, it states that salary is an issue that is mainly dealt with in the collective agreements. Furthermore, it plays a big part if the workers or the employers are party to a collective agreement. The thesis questions whether workers have sufficient knowledge to know what legal protection they have. Furthermore, the thesis states that the employers have a great responsibility to have the right knowledge to be able to uphold the principle of equal treatment. The research in the thesis also states that further development is required to keep the Swedish model. And in step with globalization and digitalization, the area will require further development of the role of law for the workers.
