The purpose with this paper is to provide more knowledge about crisis management in the hotel industry due to the outburst of the ongoing coronapandemic in beginning of 2020. The study is based on qualitative research interviews with management and employees from several hotels within a hotel chain. This paper is based on Söderströms (1996) theory of organizational learning, Hugelius and Tapanis (2017) preparation of David Alexanders (2002) crisis management cycle and Hugelius and Tapanis (2017) theory of leadership in crisis. Results showed that the hotel chain have an overall emergency response plan, and also training and exercises for different types of crisis situations. However, these type of preparations are not designed for crisis situations of character like the coronapandemic, although there is still some knowledge to gain. At present, crisis management has mainly been about cutting back on resources, being present and supporting the employees. So far, employees have been generally satisfied with the management's work during this crisis situation.
