<p>The aim of this essay is to examine how future upper secondary school teachers within social science comprehends their future proffessional role. The aim is also to see whether the education is of importance to their suspension for their future professional role. Focus will especially be on the teachers civil servant role, where the aim is to see how their identification suspends to the governmental expectations on their future civil servant misson. The essay is based on a qualitative method, which is focused conversational interviews.</p><p>The result indicates that future upper secondary school teachers within social science, who are about to finish their education, have a somewhat deeper sense of identification with the teachers civil servant mission compared to those in the beginning of their education. The result also indicates that the future upper secondary school teachers identification are in line with the governmental expectations on their civil servant mission. This with the exception of one interviewsubject, whose identification is not in line with the governmental expectations on his civil servant mission. The result has didactic and democratic consequenses, which one as a teacher needs to be aware of and consider.</p> / <p>Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur presumtiva gymnasielärare inom samhällskunskap ser på sin kommande yrkesroll. Vidare är syftet att se om utbildningen utgör betydelse för deras förhållning till den framtida yrkesrollen. Särskilt fokus ligger vid lärarens tjänstemannaroll, där syftet är att se hur deras identifikation förhåller sig till statens förväntningar på deras kommande tjänstemannauppdrag. Uppsatsen bygger på en kvalitativ metod, vilken utgörs av fokuserade samtalsintervjuer.</p><p>Undersökningens resultat visar att blivande gymnasielärare i samhällskunskap, vilka befinner sig i slutet av sin utbildning, har en något djupare identifiering med lärarens tjänstemannauppdrag till skillnad från dem som befinner sig i början av utbildningen. Resultatet visar också att de blivande gymnasielärarnas identifikation ligger i linje med statens förväntningar på deras tjänstemannauppdrag. Detta med undantag för en intervjuperson, vars identifikation inte förhåller sig i linje med statens förväntningar på dennes tjänstemannauppdrag. Resultatet medför didaktiska och demokratiska konsekvenser, vilka man som lärare behöver ha en medvetenhet om och ta ställning till.</p>
