Studiens huvudsyfte är att undersöka lärares medvetenhet om genusperspektiv i den skönlitte-ratur som de arbetar med gemensamt i klasserna. Ytterligare syften är att undersöka vilka kri-terier som motiverar lärares val och vilka förebilder de vill förmedla till sina elever via skönlitteratur. Vi har använt oss av kvalitativ intervjumetod för att uppnå studiens syfte och har funnit att lärares medvetenhet om genusperspektiv varierar mellan hög och låg medvetenhet. Det har även framkommit att det oftast är gruppsammansättningen som avgör lärares val av skönlitteratur. Värdegrundsfrågor och demokratiska förebilder är det som lärarna i studien främst vill förmedla till sina elever via skönlitteratur. Vi menar att genusperspektiv ingår i värdegrundsfrågorna och anser därför att lärares medvetenhet om genusperspektiv måste öka om riktlinjerna i grundskolans läroplan, Lpo94, ska kunna uppfyllas. / The main aim with this study is to examine teachers awareness of the genderperspective when chosing the fiction that all pupils work with concurrently. Further aims are to examine which criteria motivates the teachers choice of fiction and which rolemodels the teachers would like to mediate to their pupils via fiction. We have used qualitative interview-method to reach the aim of the study. We have found that teachers awerness of the genderperspective varies between high and low awerness. We have also found that the composition of the group often determines the teachers choice of fiction. Fundamental value issues and democratic rolemodels are the two things that the teachers in the study furthermost would like to mediate to their pupils via fiction. We think that the genderperspective issue is included in fundamental value issues and therefore teachers awerness of the genderperspective must increase if the guidelines in the curriculum, Lpo94, should be fullfilled.
