Pionnier de la psychanalyse en France, René Laforgue semble avoir, aujourd'hui, sombré dans l'oubli. Pourtant, plusieurs éléments de son oeuvre ont influencé durablement certains aspects de la psychanalyse. Partant du constat qu'aucune monographie n'a encore été consacrée à René Laforgue et à son oeuvre, la présente thèse se fixe pour objectif de combler cette lacune. Cette recherche a pour ambition de rappeler quel fut le rôle de René Laforgue dans le développement et l'institutionnalisation de la psychanalyse en France et de replacer son oeuvre dans le champ de la théorie psychanalytique, en en soulignant la fécondité heuristique et en s'efforçant d'en mesurer les apports et les limites, ainsi que les aspects novateurs, en particulier s'agissant de l'extension de l'approche psychanalytique au domaine politique. L'oeuvre de laforgue est également remise en perspective par rapport à celle de Freud, dont elle procède à l'origine, avant de s'en différencier. / Pioneer of the psychoanalysis in France, René Laforgue seems to be, today, forgotten.Neverless, several elements of his works influenced durably certain aspects of psychoanalysis.Runner of the report that no monograph was again dedicated to René Laforgue and to its work, this present thesis settles for objective to fill this gap. This research has for ambition to call back what was René Lafarge's role in the development and the institutionalization of the psychoanalysis in France and to replace his work in the field of the psychoanalytical theory, by underlining the heursistical fertility and by trying to measure the contributions and the limits, as well as the innovative aspects, in particular as regards the extension of the psychoanalytical approach in the political domain. The work of Lafarge is also put in perspective with regard to that of Freud of which it proceeds originally, before differing from it.
