Society is evolving and becoming increasingly digital. Even though there has been an increase in the number of digital tools in schools that have been using them in mathematics teaching, there has been no increase in comparison with other subjects. In this study, 8 teachers who teach the subject of mathematics in grades 4-6 in central Sweden were interviewed. The purpose was to find out teachers attitudes to digital tools and underlying factors and how these affect the using in mathematics teaching. The result of the interviews shows that the teachers attitudes to the use of digital tools in the subject of using is different among the teachers who participated in the study. The underlying factors that have emerged are continuing education, experience, personal interest, the environment, lack of time and hassle with techniques which all affect the teacher’s degree of using digital tools in mathematics teaching.
