Previous issue date: 2018-08-14 / The objective of this study is to present an updated research on burnout syndrome in the religious ministers. the first chapter was defined based on articles, theses and books the whole process of the emergence of Burnout syndrome and its unfolding. The close relationship between Burnout, stress, coping, resilience and suicide was analyzed. In the second chapter the religious minister was categorized as a professional caregiver, therefore, within the range of occupations considered to be at risk for Burnout syndrome. Significant cases of suicide of religious ministers have been cited, likely to be a consequence of Burnout syndrome which may be a consequence of Burnout syndrome. We finished the present work giving voice to the religious ministers, for this was carried out a survey Research with three religious ministers who bring in common the fact of having left the work for presenting a physical-emotional exhaustion. After analyzing the data of this opinion survey, it is proposed parameters for prevention and intervention of burnout syndrome in religious ministers. / O objetivo deste estudo é apresentar uma pesquisa atualizada sobre a síndrome de Burnout e suas ressonâncias em ministros religiosos. No primeiro capítulo foi definido com base em artigos, teses e livros todo o processo de surgimento da síndrome de Burnout e seus desdobramentos. Foi analisada a estreita relação entre Burnout, stress, coping, resiliência e suicídio. No segundo capítulo o ministro religioso foi categorizado como profissional cuidador, portanto, dentro do raio das ocupações consideradas de risco para a síndrome de Burnout. Foi citado casos significativos de suicídio de ministros religiosos, passíveis de serem consequência da síndrome de Burnout. Finalizamos o presente trabalho dando voz aos ministros religiosos, para isso foi realizado uma pesquisa de opinião com três ministros religiosos que trazem em comum o fato de terem se afastado do trabalho por apresentarem um esgotamento físico-emocional. Após analisarmos os dados dessa pesquisa de opinião, propõe-se parâmetros para prevenção e intervenção da síndrome de Burnout em ministros religiosos.
