Syftet med föreliggande uppsatsarbete har varit att identifiera styrkor och brister hos IT- och bedrägerisektion som kan komma att påverka en eventuellt närmare samverkan. Syftet har även varit att undersöka nyckelinformanters inställning till en närmare samverkan mellan IT-sektionen och bedrägerisektionen i polisregion Syd. För att uppfylla syftet och besvara frågeställningarna har författarna genomfört sex semistrukturerade intervjuer med informanter från bedrägerisektionen och IT-sektionen. Resultatet visade på att informanterna är positivt inställda till en närmare samverkan och att det bör införskaffas ytterligare en understödsgrupp till bedrägerisektionen avseende bedrägeribrott med inslag av IT. Vidare har resultatet visat att det finns goda kompetenser hos IT-utredare som är gynnsamt för en närmare samverkan med bedrägerisektionen. Således anses bristerna och utmaningarna med närmare samverkan vara ansvarsfördelningen och att bedrägerisektionen inte har tillräckligt med kompetenser inom IT. Detta tyder på att ledningen måste prioritera de identifierade bristerna som kan tänkas påverka en närmare samverkan mellan sektionerna, för en förbättrad utredningsverksamhet. Författarna har varit medvetna om att det funnits begränsningar i uppsatsarbetet, vilket är den låga kvalitativa datainsamlingen som ska representera hela polisregion Syd. Det finns även en viss avsaknad av tidigare forskning kring ämnen och med orsak till detta är det därför viktigt att fortsätta studera inom området. / The purpose of this study was to identify the strengths and shortcomings within the cybercrime- and fraud section that may affect a possible closer cooperation. The purpose was also to examine attitudes of key informants regarding closer cooperation between the cybercrime section and fraud section within region south of the (Swedish) police authority. To be able to fulfill the purpose of this essay, the authors conducted six semi-structured interviews with informants from the fraud section and cybercrime section. The results of the essay highlighted that the informants are positively committed to a closer cooperation and that an additional support group should be acquired for the fraud section regarding fraud offenses with elements of cybercrime. Furthermore, the results have shown that there are good competencies in cyber investigators, which is favorable for close cooperation with the fraud section. The shortcomings and challenges of close cooperation are considered to be distribution of responsibilities and that the fraud section does not have sufficient expertise in cyber elements. This indicates that the management must prioritize the identified deficiencies that can be expected to affect a closer cooperation between the sections. Limitations with the study is the low qualitative data collection that aims to represent the entire region south of the (Swedish) police authority. There is also a certain lack of previous research around the subject and therefore it is important to keep researching in this field.
