Bakgrund: Här presenteras rökningens påverkan samt allmän kännedom om tobak, vilka risker som förekommer inför operation samt operationssår. Hur patienten bör sköta om sitt operationssår för att hindra uppkomst av infektioner. Sårläkningsprocessen beskrivs och är en betydande punkt för patientens hälsotillstånd. Sjuksköterskans roll redogörs samt problemformulering om hur litteraturstudien valda ämne. Syfte: Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva tobaksrökningens påverkan på sårläkning av operationssår. Metod: En litteraturstudie där tio artiklar analyserats och granskats med SBUs granskningsmall. Resultat: Rökning i samband med operation har visats sig vara en av orsakerna till försämrad operationssårläkning. Patienterna upplever ohälsa relaterat till komplikationer. Operationssårinfektion är det mest förekommande komplikation i samband med rökning och operationssår. Det är ett dilemma som ännu kräver fler studier för att finna en bättre lösning för att minska dessa komplikationer. Emellertid spenderar sjukhus enorma summor och resurs på grund av förlängda sjukhus vistelse och operationssårläkningsomvårdnad. Slutord: Information om konsekvenserna av rökning vid operationssår måste stärkas så att patienterna vet att rökning kan förlänga sjukhusvistelse och sårläkningsprocessen, öka risken för infektioner och andra komplikationer. Relationen mellan vården och patient behöver förstärkas så slutligen patienten kan uppleva hälsa i samband med operation. Sjuksköterskans roll fortsätter genom att undervisa och informera patienter om deras hälsa. / Background: Here we present the influence of smoking as well as general knowledge of tobacco, which risks occur prior to surgery and surgical wounds. How patient should take care of their surgical wounds to prevent the occurrence of infections. Wound healing process is described and is an important point for the patient's health condition. Nurses role set out, the problems raised about how the literature chosen topic. Aim: The aim of this review was to describe the influence of tobacco smoking on wound healing of surgical wounds. Method: A literature review where ten articles were analysed and reviewed with SBU audit template. Results: Smoking associated with surgery has proven to be one of the causes of impaired operation wound healing. Patients experiencing health problems related to complications. Surgical wound infection is the most common complication associated with smoking and surgical wounds. This is a dilemma that still requires more studies to find a better solution to reduce these complications. However, hospitals are spending enormous amounts of money and resources due to prolonged hospital stays and surgical wound care. Final words: Information about the consequences of smoking at the surgical site must be strengthened so that patients know that smoking can prolong hospital stay and wound healing process, increase the risk of infections and other complications. The relationship between care and the patient needs to be strengthened so finally the patient may experience health associated with surgery. The nurse's role continues by teaching and informing patients about their health.
