Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / O presente trabalho propõe-se refletir sobre o Contestado: movimento social
e seu desdobramento na atual situação educacional da região. Esta pesquisa integra
a Área de Concentração: Religião e Educação, privilegiando as perspectivas
teológica e educacional. O Contestado caracteriza-se como um movimento social de
grande envergadura, sendo relegado historicamente a um segundo plano, como a
maioria dos movimentos sociais. A tese focaliza o estudo das conseqüências
advindas, para educação, dos acontecimentos conhecidos como Guerra do
Contestado. A partir da atual situação da região foram buscados no passado
elementos para análise das condições e dos mecanismos envolvidos no referido
processo sócio-histórico. O primeiro capítulo analisa as categorias conceituais:
movimento social, messianismo, concepção weberiana de carisma, camponês,
educação libertadora e teologia da libertação. O segundo capítulo apresenta um
panorama histórico do Contestado, seguindo o seguinte esquema de análise: a terra
palco de inúmeros episódios; o homem do Contestado e estruturação social; e a
Guerra do Contestado. O terceiro capítulo volta-se para a análise do sumiço da
placa alusiva ao movimento do Contestado e o processo educacional instituído na
região. O último capítulo apresenta a conceituação de currículo e a influência dos
meios de produção no currículo escolar da educação básica. Foi analisado também
o espaço da História Regional e do Contestado nos currículos escolares de
educação básica, investigando alunos egressos do ensino médio e professores de
história da rede pública do Estado de Santa Catarina. / The present work aims to reflect on the "Contestado": social movement and its extending in the current educational situation of the region. This research integrates the Area of Concentration: religion and education, focusing on perspectives theological and educational. The "Contestado", is characterized as a social movement of great magnitude, being relegated historically to second plan, as the majority of the social movements. The thesis focus on the results of beforehand, for the education, of the known events as the "Contestado" war. From the current situation of the region it will be searched in the past, elements for the analysis of the conditions and the involved mechanisms in the related social-historical process. The first chapter analyzes the conceptual categories: social movement, messianism, Webers sociological concept of charismatic authority, peasant, liberating education and liberation theology. The second chapter presents a historical panorama of the "Contestado", following the specified project of analysis: The Land - scene of innumerable episodes; the Contestado's man and social structure and the "Contestado" war. In the third chapter refers towards the analysis of the disappearance of the allusive plate to the movement of "Contestado" and the instituted educational process in the region. The last chapter presents the conceptualization of the curriculum and the influence of the means of production in the schools curriculum of the basic education. In addiction, it will also be analyzed the importance that is being given to the Regional History and the "Contestado" in the pertaining to schools curriculum of the basic education, analyzing pupils egresses of high school and historys teachers of the Public System of the State of Santa Catarina.
