Previous issue date: 2014-10-01 / The proposals considered in this work are intended to analyze and discuss literary
and cinematic language in the novel A máquina, Adriana Falcão and its namesake
film transcript, from the perspective of semiotics, which aims to study the sociocultural
phenomena and the systems of significance, based on the signs. We will take
into account the peculiarity of each language, beyond the historical and cultural
context in which the works were inserted in order to ascertain to what extent the
novel was reframed or only took into account the concept of fidelity to the literary
work. The comparison between the literary and cinematic language in the book and
movie, The Machine, Adriana Falcão, also literary and representative of space and
time linguistics aspects, such as interpretation of human subjectivity. / As proposições consideradas neste trabalho têm o intuito de analisar e discutir as
linguagens literária e cinematográfica no romance A Máquina, de Adriana Falcão, em
sua transcrição fílmica homônima a partir da perspectiva da semiótica, que tem por
objetivo estudar os fenômenos sócioculturais e os sistemas de significação, tendo
por base os signos. Levaremos em conta a pecularidade de cada linguagem, além
do contexto histórico, e cultural, a fim de verificar em que medida o romance foi
ressignificado ou se apenas buscou a fidelidade à obra literária. Paralelo a esta
comparação serão analisados os aspectos literários e representativos do espaço e
do tempo, como interpretação da subjetividade humana intensificadas na
estrutruração das personagens.
