Background: Fibromyalgia is a disease wich involve cronic pain and fatigue. The disease has appeared for a long time, but it has resently become possible to diagnose. It is still unclear what cause the disease, and the treatment of it is therefore still diffuse. The lack of knowledge leads to a lot of discussions and the diagnosis is questioned. Purpose: To study how patients with fibromyalgia experineces the attitudes from staff in hospitals and health centers. Method: The study has a qualitativ, descriptive design and has been carried out by interviews.  Six persons diagnosed with fibromylagia participated. The interview where transcribed and analysed on the basis of Granheim and Lundman and their content analysis (2004). Result: The participants described unsatisfied attitudes with disbelief, ignorance, lack of knowledge, comprehensive view and coordination. Some of the participants described experiences of good attitude with staff taking initiative and showing empathy. The unsatisfied attitudes leed to suffering and make the participants feel insecure, a struggle on their own and a feeling of resignation. Conclusion: The attitudes against patientes with fibromyalgia is not satisfied and does not correspond to the meeting as a concept in nursing theory
