Previous issue date: 2012-04-27 / CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The overall goal of this dissertation was to seize the social representations of mothers about the
domestic sexual abuse suffered by their children. The domestic sexual abuse against children was
treated under a psychosociological approach, through theoretical Social Psychology, conducted
by the theory of social representations, Moscovici, together with the contributions of Doise. The
study comprised a technique of field research. The locus of study was at the center of Social
assistance Specialized Reference (CREAS) in Manaus, Amazonas. Participated thirty-two
women, aged 23 to 50, who responded to a semi-structured interview with closed questions about
the sociodemographic data and other open questions that contemplated the objectives. The
contents of the interviews were handled by Lexical Analysis from the software Alceste, through
the standard procedure resulting in Descending hierarchical classification. The collected data
were analyzed by descriptive statistics and inferential understanding (Chi-square). The results
showed that mothers were socially against the abuse considering it as horrible, an act that
happens only with the gentle and innocent children, or something that can be seen, made and
played. Representing the factors of occurrence of sexual abuse facilitators anchored in that
physical and psychological violence suffered by their companions, in addition to financial
insecurity, unemployment, lack of social and psychological assistance. About the consequences
of abusive acts their speeches in physical side effects suffered by their children with torn hymen,
diarrhea, vomiting and genital dilaceration. Concerning the damages they suffered the focus was
on: interpersonal with negative feelings of hatred, disgust, anger, guilt, pain, sadness, nightmares,
betrayal, vengeance, negative self-image, sorrows, rancor and the feeling of powerlessness; with
interpersonal avoidance in new affective involvement due to fear of exposing their children to
another perpetrator of violence; financial hardship due to unemployment and the lack of help
from former when this was the perpetrator; disbelief in the Justice of men in antinomy belief in
divine law of God. It was still suggest the proposition of future research. / O objetivo geral da presente dissertação foi apreender as representações sociais das mães sobre o
abuso sexual intrafamiliar sofrido por seus filhos. O abuso sexual intrafamiliar contra crianças foi
tratado segundo um enfoque psicossociológico, por meio do arcabouço teórico da Psicologia
Social, conduzido pela Teoria das Representações Sociais, de Moscovici, acompanhado das
contribuições de Doise. O estudo compreendeu uma técnica de pesquisa de campo. O lócus do
estudo situou-se no Centro de Referência Especializado de Assistência Social (CREAS) em
Manaus, no Amazonas. Participaram trinta e duas mulheres, com faixa etária de 23 a 50 anos de
idade, que responderam a uma entrevista semiestruturada com perguntas fechadas sobre os dados
sociodemográficos e outras abertas que contemplaram os objetivos. Os conteúdos das entrevistas
foram tratados pela Análise Lexical do software Alceste, por meio do procedimento padrão
resultando na Classificação Hierárquica Descendente. Os dados coletados foram analisados pela
estatística descritiva e inferencial (qui-quadrado). Os resultados demonstraram que as mães
representaram socialmente o abuso sexual intrafamiliar contra suas crianças objetivando-o como
horrível, um ato que acontece só com as crianças inocentes e meigas, ou algo que se vê, faz e se
toca. Representaram os fatores facilitadores da ocorrência do abuso sexual ancorados na violência
física e psicológica que sofriam por parte de seus companheiros, além da precariedade financeira,
desemprego, falta de assistência psicológica e social. Quanto às consequências dos atos abusivos,
objetivaram seus discursos nas sequelas físicas sofridas por suas crianças, como rompimento do
hímen, diarreias, vômitos e dilaceração genital. Já em relação aos danos padecidos por elas,
objetivaram em: intrapessoais, com sentimentos negativos de ódio, repulsa, revolta, culpa, dor,
tristeza, pesadelos, traição, autoimagem negativa, vingança, mágoas, rancor e a sensação de
impotência; interpessoais, com evitação em novo envolvimento afetivo devido ao medo de expor
seus filhos a um outro perpetrador de violência; dificuldades financeiras, devido ao desemprego e
à falta de ajuda do ex-companheiro quando este foi o perpetrador; descrença na justiça dos
homens em antinomia à crença na lei divina. Procurou-se ainda sugerir a proposição de futuras
pesquisas.
