Vägen tillbaka efter fängelse : En studie om möjligheterna till arbete för personer med ett kriminellt förflutet

The reintegration process back to society after finishing a prison sentence is not guaranteed to be easy. To be able to create a new and better life you need the right circumstances.  This study is based on a method of sociology of law. The aim of the study is to study which promoting and inhibiting factors which can be the foundation to whether people with a criminal past find and keep a job or not. The essay also asks what is demanded both individually but also structurally to maintain the capacity to stay employable. The results of this study are that there are both promoting and inhibiting factors when ex-offenders are reintegrating back to society though the labor market. Thanks to the Swedish government, legislation, organizations and more, the study shows that our country has a general positive view on getting ex-offenders back to a normal life and offers the tools to get there if they are willing to do their part.
