Previous issue date: 2014-12-16 / This scientific research aimed to analyze the social, economic, educational and subjective factors of inclusion and exclusion of people with intellectual disabilities in the world of work. Theoretical contributions for the analysis were the studies about the relation between education and labor in capitalism, from the approach of historical and dialectical materialism; the research about the inclusion of people with disabilities in the labor and the debates about the meanings of inclusion and exclusion in contemporary capitalism. Theories of development and learning were the basis for the analyses regarding cognitive processes of the research subjects and based, primarily, on Piaget and Vygotsky. We used the case study methodology of three former students of Center for Teaching of Special Education Helena Antipoff, the research subjects were their mothers, teachers and employees of three private companies of the labor market in the city of São Luís, state of Maranhão. We opted for the qualitative methodology for collecting and analyzing the data collected through non-participant observation; semi-structured individuals interviews; and a focus group. We used the technique of content analysis for the organization, processing and analysis of data. This study revealed that the capitalist productive restructuring reconfigures relationships and working practices and affect people with intellectual disabilities, requiring them to adapt to market demands. With respect to subjective factors, the survey found that the way mothers related to the disability of their children, seemed to significantly affects their relational field work. Even, that work can either be a source of personal fulfillment, as of suffering, due to the ambivalent feelings it brings to workers. It was found that the education of people with intellectual disabilities while allowing inclusion and educational participation, reproduces the market demands and educates for adaptation of attitudes and behaviors. Furthermore, the model of training for work in educational workshops proved to be disconnected from the modern requirements and to have an emphasis basically on teaching of practices. Finally, it can be seen that the concepts of disability guide actions of inclusion and exclusion at work and converge or not to adaptation actions of the working environment in companies. / A presente investigação científica objetivou analisar os fatores sociais, econômicos, educacionais e subjetivos do processo de inclusão e exclusão da pessoa com deficiência intelectual no mundo do trabalho. Constituíram aportes teóricos da análise os estudos sobre as relações entre educação e trabalho no capitalismo, a partir da abordagem do materialismo histórico-dialético; as pesquisas sobre inclusão da pessoa com deficiência no mundo do trabalho e os debates sobre os sentidos de inclusão e exclusão no capitalismo contemporâneo. As teorias do desenvolvimento e da aprendizagem fundamentaram as análises quanto aos processos cognitivos dos sujeitos da pesquisa e foram buscadas, principalmente, em Piaget e Vygotsky. Utilizou-se a metodologia do estudo de caso de três egressos do Centro de Ensino de Educação Especial Helena Antipoff, tendo como sujeitos suas mães, professoras e funcionários de três empresas privadas do mercado de trabalho em São Luís do Maranhão. Optou-se pela metodologia qualitativa para coleta e análise dos dados levantados por meio de observação não participante; entrevistas individuais semiestruturadas e um grupo focal. Foi utilizada a técnica da análise de conteúdo para organização, tratamento e análise dos dados. Este estudo revelou que a reestruturação produtiva capitalista reconfigura relações e práticas de trabalho e afeta as pessoas com deficiência intelectual, exigindo que se adequem às demandas do mercado. Quanto aos fatores subjetivos, a pesquisa constatou que a forma como as mães se relacionaram com a deficiência de seus filhos, pareceu afetar significativamente seu campo relacional no trabalho. Ainda, que o trabalho tanto pode constituir fonte de realização pessoal, quanto de sofrimento, face aos sentimentos ambivalentes que provoca nos trabalhadores. Foi constatado que a educação da pessoa com deficiência intelectual ao mesmo tempo em que lhe possibilita inclusão e participação educacional, reproduz as demandas do mercado e forma para a adaptação de atitudes e comportamentos. Além disso, o modelo de formação para o trabalho em oficinas pedagógicas revelou-se desarticulado das exigências modernas e com ênfase no ensino de natureza puramente prática. Finalmente, também pode ser verificado que as concepções sobre deficiência orientam ações de inclusão e exclusão no trabalho e convergem para ações de adaptação do ambiente de trabalho nas empresas.
