PERCEPÇÕES DE MULHERES DA COMUNIDADE DE ACUPE - SANTO AMARO (BA) - SOBRE POLUIÇÃO_Nadia Conceição.pdf: 2788301 bytes, checksum: 2165163241584aa14442548bd8641b14 (MD5) / Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado da Bahia (FAPESB) / O presente trabalho busca investigar as percepções de mulheres marisqueiras do distrito de Acupe, em Santo Amaro, sobre a poluição desta área e suas consequências. Compreender aspectos relacionados à saúde e ao papel feminino nesta comunidade e suas relações culturais, também estão entre os objetivos. Realizei uma pesquisa qualitativa, especificamente um estudo de caso, cujos sujeitos foram mulheres que trabalham no mar e no mangue. Foram realizadas seis entrevistas com as mulheres marisqueiras que discorreram sobre temas que afetam diretamente seu ambiente de trabalho: a maré e os mangues, tais como a cultura da mariscagem, a poluição que põe em risco essa prática, as implicações desta poluição/contaminação para a saúde e como o gênero está relacionado com a valorização ou desvalorização do trabalho desenvolvido pelas marisqueiras. Dentro destas questões é possível analisar o protagonismo feminino dentro das comunidades pesqueiras do recôncavo e das dificuldades enfrentadas por essas mulheres na conquista de seus territórios e do respeito pelo trabalho que desenvolvem em suas localidades. Este trabalho contempla ainda uma revisão teórica na interface entre Cultura, Meio Ambiente, Contaminação, Poluição, Saúde e Gênero. / ABSTRACT -
This study aims to investigate the perceptions of shellfish scavenger women in the district of Acupe, in Santo Amaro, on the pollution of this area and its consequences. Understanding the aspects related to health, the feminine role in this community and its cultural relations are also among the objectives. I carried out a qualitative research, specifically a case study, whose subjects were women working in the sea and in the mangrove. Six interviews were carried out with the shellfish scavenger women who discussed issues that directly affect their work environment: tide and mangroves, such as shellfish scavenger culture, pollution that endangers this practice, the implications of this pollution/contamination for the health and how the gender is related to the valorization or devaluation in the work developed by shellfish scavenger women. Within these issues it is possible to analyze the female protagonism within the fishing communities of the concave (region in the Bahia’s state) and the difficulties faced by these women in the conquest of their territories and the respect for the work that they develop in their localities. This work also contemplates a theoretical revision in the interface between Culture, Environment, Contamination, Pollution, Health and Gender.
