Previous issue date: 2007-07-31 / O objetivo geral desta dissertação é refletir sobre a ação da justiça e as transgressões da moral na sociedade mineira da segunda metade do século XVIII e primeiras décadas do século XIX Buscamos através da análise de processos criminais, explicitar as regras de comportamento e condutas sociais assentadas sobre a violência, a vingança e a honra, assim como verificar o significado social da justiça, seus espaços de ação e, sobretudo, o modo pelo qual a população estabelecia relações com essa representação de poder. Dessa forma, podemos situar os pontos de entrecruzamento desses modelos comportamentais e valorativos com a ação da justiça na sociedade mineira colonial. / The main objective of this dissertation is to reflect on the action of the justice and the moral transgressions in the mineira society of the second half of the XVIII Century and the first decades of the XIX Century. We search through analysis of criminal cases to express the rules of the social behavior and conduct placed about violence, revenge, and honor, as well as to check the social meaning of justice, its action spaces, and over all the manner which the population establish relations with this power representation. That way we can locate the points of intersecting of these behavior and value models with the action of the justice in the mineira Colonial Society.
