Previous issue date: 2014-05-29 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / As we conduct the research on the Brazilian emerging woman on the new middle class, we have verified that no matter her identity being set through the imitation of role models from the class which she was ascended to, this imitation is made on her own way. As she carried the values of her former status to this new class, it allowed her to have experienced the idea of self-achievement, strengthening her identity. Even between younger women/mothers, they reported that they feel responsible for most household chores and their kids. Despite the visible achievements, in some aspects, these women still couldn t deconstruct the old sexiest speech image. Searching for autonomy, the emerging woman takes on new behaviors, having both traditional and modern values cohabiting, and attributes related to the necessary flexibility are joined in her new behavior, demanded by who needs to conciliate several spheres of the daily life and handle antagonistic views about her behavior. Considering that these women capture the influences of the environment and whether or not they integrate these influences to their own subjectivities, and the Social Constructionism, according to it, the construction the person does of the world is based on other social constructions that are added from what is exchanged among them, it is understood that there will not be a setback in the process of empowerment of the emerging woman, because structural changes, systemically, of second order, have occurred in herself as well as in the environment, which resulted in profound changes. The issue of women's empowerment, more specifically the woman of the emerging Brazilian new middle class, occurs independently of economic, ecosystem and contextual factors / Ao procedermos aos estudos sobre a mulher emergente da nova classe média
brasileira, constatamos que, independe de sua identidade fazer-se a partir da
imitação dos modelos da classe para qual ascendeu, esta cópia se faz a seu jeito. O
fato de ter carregado para esta classe os valores de seu antigo status social,
permitiu-lhe conferir às suas experiências o sentido de realização pessoal,
fortalecendo sua identidade. Mesmo entre as mulheres/mães mais jovens, as
mesmas relatam que se responsabilizam pela maior parte das tarefas domésticas e
dos filhos. Apesar de evidentes conquistas, em alguns aspectos, esta mulher ainda
não conseguiu desconstruir a antiga imagem dos discursos machistas. Em busca por
autonomia, a mulher emergente assume novos comportamentos, contudo
convivendo com valores tradicionais e modernos, sendo que a seu novo
comportamento agregam-se atributos relacionados à necessária flexibilidade, exigida
para quem precisa conciliar várias esferas do cotidiano e lidar com visões
antagônicas quanto a seu comportamento. Considerando-se como estas mulheres
captam as influências do meio e as integram ou não às suas próprias subjetividades,
e o Construcionismo Social, segundo o qual a construção que a pessoa faz do
mundo deriva de outras construções sociais que se somam a partir do que é trocado
entre elas, entende-se que não haverá um retrocesso no processo de
empoderamento da mulher emergente, porque mudanças estruturais, de segunda
ordem, ocorreram tanto nela quanto no ambiente, as quais implicaram em profundas
modificações. A questão do empoderamento feminino, mais especificamente da
mulher emergente da nova classe média brasileira, ocorre independente de fatores
econômicos, ecossistêmicos e contextuais
