Previous issue date: 2009-06-17 / The objective of the present study was to identify the conection between
the production of knowledge in health area and the services realized in
collective health, in Curitiba. The methodological supports, which were
delineated in this study, had been from a descriptive characteristic and it has as
references the proposals of research lines in programs of after-graduation, in
health area, studies and programmatical proposals related to the health
management in Curitiba/Paraná, as well as testimonies from managers in
health area that are responsible for the production of knowledge in the
academical scope. Considering the intersection between the service in health
and the academical sector, we observe that the academical objectives do not
have answered, effectively, to the basic necessities that exist in health area. In
other words, beyond the distance from the academical world to the services,
that one prioritizes the specialized productions aiming at cure, whereas these
ones can not afford the demand related to the basic attention in health. In this
context, it was proved that on the boundary of the relation between service and
production of knowledge of the academical sector, politicians, economical,
cultural and social factors are determinative in the development of a health
politics / O objetivo do presente estudo foi identificar a relação da produção do
conhecimento na área da saúde com os serviços em saúde coletiva na cidade
de Curitiba. Os suportes metodológicos delineados no estudo foram de
natureza descritiva, tendo como referências as proposições de linhas de
pesquisa, em programas de pós-graduação, na área da saúde, estudos e
propostas programáticas relacionados à gestão de saúde em Curitiba-PR,
assim como de depoimentos de gestores na área da saúde e responsáveis
pela produção do conhecimento no âmbito acadêmico. Considerando a
interseção do serviço na saúde com o setor acadêmico, observamos que os
objetivos acadêmicos não têm respondido efetivamente pelas necessidades
básicas na área da saúde, ou seja, além da distância do mundo acadêmico em
relação aos serviços, o mundo acadêmico prioriza as produções especializadas
visando a cura, enquanto que os serviços não dão conta da demanda em
relação a atenção básica na saúde. Nesse contexto, evidenciou-se que no
contorno da relação intersetorial entre serviço e produção do conhecimento do
setor acadêmico, os fatores políticos, econômicos, culturais e sociais, são
determinantes no desenvolvimento de uma determinada política de saúde
