Esta dissertação trata das representações de feminilidade de meninas adolescentes e da forma como essas representações se associam ao corpo. O trabalho de campo foi realizado em uma escola pública estadual. A partir da observação das aulas de educação física de uma turma de alunas do Ensino Médio e de entrevistas realizadas com algumas dessas alunas, busquei identificar as representações de feminilidade, a forma como estas se associam ao corpo e a maneira como a educação física escolar aborda a questão da feminilidade. A fundamentação teórica traz alguns fragmentos da história das mulheres, algumas formas de expressão da feminilidade que têm se posicionado hegemonicamente em diferentes contextos históricos e algumas pedagogias que têm sido utilizadas por instâncias como a família, a escola e a mídia na construção dessas feminilidades. / This dissertation focuses on the representations of femininity in adolescent girls and how it is associated with the body. The fieldwork was carried out in a state public school. From the observations of Physical Education classes of a group of female high school students and the interviews carried out with some of these students, I have tried to identify the representations of femininity, how it is associated with the body and the way scholastic Physical Education approaches the matter of femininity. The theoretical basis brings some fragments of women’s history and some ways of expressing femininity that have held hegemony in different historical contexts. I have also examined some pedagogical paradigms that have been used in instances like family, school and media in the construction of these femininities.
