A dissertação teve como objetivo analisar o perfil dos casais envolvidos em violência doméstica e qual a dinâmica desta violência, a partir do depoimento dos envolvidos. A metodologia utilizada é descritiva com abordagem quanti-qualitativa. Foram selecionados 172 Inquéritos Policiais registrados no ano de 2010, na 6ª Delegacia de Polícia de Proteção à Mulher, à Criança e Adolescente de Florianópolis/Santa Catarina, que investigavam violência contra a mulher cometida pelo parceiro ou ex-parceiro. Nossos resultados serão descritos em 2 artigos, o primeiro intitulado "O que se sabe sobre o autor de violência contra a parceira íntima: uma revisão sistemática", que apresenta o perfil do parceiro íntimo envolvido em situação de violência contra a mulher encontrado em pesquisas publicadas entre 2000 e 2010, nas bases de dados LILACS, MEDLINE e SciELO. O segundo artigo, intitulado "Violência contra a mulher: o relato dos parceiros no Inquérito Policial", aborda o perfil dos casais que a mulher denunciou violência na delegacia de Proteção à mulher, e os tipos de violência perpetrada e sofrida por eles. A importância do estudo esteve em revelar as características da violência a partir da visão do homem e da mulher envolvidos no contexto das agressões, ampliando as informações referentes a este tipo de violência. / Violence perpetrated by an intimate partner is one of the most common forms of violence against women, and reflects cultural, social and gender factors. The dissertation aims to analyze the profile of the couples involved in domestic violence and what the dynamics of violence, from the testimony of those involved. The methodology used is descriptive quantitative and qualitative approach. We selected 172 police investigations recorded in 2010, at the Woman#s Police Station in Florianópolis / Santa Catarina, investigating violence against women committed by a partner or former partner. Our results will be described in two articles, the first entitled "What we known about the men author of violence against intimate partner: a systematic review", which presents the profile of intimate partner involved in situations of violence against women found in published scientific literature between 2000 and 2010 in the databases LILACS, MEDLINE and SciELO. The second article, entitled "Violence against women: a report of the partners in the police inquiry", covers the profile of couples the woman denounced police violence in the Protection of Women, and the types of violence perpetrated and experienced by them. The importance of the study was to reveal the characteristics of violence from the view of man and woman involved in the context of aggression, expanding the information concerning this type of violence.
