Previous issue date: 2016 / Esta pesquisa realiza um estudo sobre I fiori blu (1967), a tradução de Italo Calvino para o romance da literatura de vanguarda de Raymond Queneau Les fleurs bleues (1965). O estudo examina como o interesse pela obra do autor traduzido e a tradução realizada fundamentam a articulação das ideias de Calvino sobre a tradução e funcionam como estímulo para a inovação em sua poética narrativa. A partir da contextualização da obra e do exame das características do autor, a tradução para o italiano é analisada comparativamente com o texto em francês, entrando no jogo dos significantes. As soluções apresentadas pelo tradutor são descritas e analisadas, levando em conta a heterogeneidade dos contextos linguísticos e culturais da França e da Itália. A discussão sobre a intraduzibilidade, os limites da interpretação, a intenção do autor e a fidelidade são temas que são abordados e tomados como critérios para o exame de Calvino tradutor e de sua produção. As decisões tomadas na recriação do romance de Queneau são examinadas em conformidade com os princípios teóricos de Roman Jakobson, Georges Mounin, Umberto Eco, Haroldo de Campos, Octavio Paz, Gérard Genette e George Steiner. As formulações teóricas de outros autores dedicados aos Estudos da Tradução são também tomadas como referência adicional. Complementam a pesquisa dois paratextos, um que abre e outro que fecha o romance traduzido: o Prefácio e a Nota do tradutor, escritos por Calvino com importantes considerações a respeito do romance traduzido e de seu autor, que apresentamos em tradução nossa ao português como anexos a este trabalho.<br> / Abstract : This thesis conducts a study on I fiori blu (1967), the translation of Italo Calvino to the romance of the leading literature of Raymond Queneau Les fleurs bleues (1965). The study examines how interest in the work of the author translated and the translation performed underlie the articulation of the ideas of Calvin on the translation and work as a stimulus for innovation in his poetic narrative. From the context of the work and the examination of the characteristics of the author, the Italian translation is analyzed comparatively with the text in French, entering the set of signifiers. The solutions presented by the translator are described and analyzed, taking into account the heterogeneity of linguistic and cultural contexts of France and Italy. The discussion on intraduzibility, the limits of interpretation, the intention of the author and fidelity are themes that will be addressed, and will be taken as criteria for the examination of Calvino translator and of its production. In this research, decisions taken by Calvino in the re-creation of Queneau?s novel are examined in accordance with the theoretical principles of Roman Jakobson, Georges Mounin, Umberto Eco, Haroldo de Campos, Octavio Paz, Gérard Genette and George Steiner. The theoretical formulations of other authors dedicated to Translation Studies are also taken as additional reference. Complement the research two paratexts, one that opens and another that closes the novel translated: the Preface and the Translator?s note, written by Calvino with important considerations regarding novel translated and its author, which we present in our translation to Portuguese as attachments to this work.
