Para a realização da pesquisa foram organizados grupos de diálogo com mulheres e homens da vila.O número de participantes femininos variou de quatro a sete e o masculino foi cinco. Fundamenta-se nas reflexões teóricas de Roberto Briceño-León, apresentadas como Sete Teses da Educação Sanitária para a Participação Comunitária.Objetivou-se, através de um diálogo participativo, conhecer os indivíduos no contexto de sua comunidade e destacar suas principais expectativas quanto à sexualidade e planejamento familiar. Procurou-se pesquisar estes homens e mulheres, deixando-se conhecer e reconhecer em situações de interesse educativo em saúde. A partir do diálogo foram identificados fatores que podem ser determinantes ou interferir na maneira como as pessoas compreendem e procedem em relação a questões de gênero, crenças sobre as funções corporais, crenças culturais e religiosas, estilo de vida, situação econômica, experiências anteriores, expectativa em relação a efeitos colaterais, planos de reprodução entre outros .Conclui-se que possíveis dificuldades no planejamento familiar nesta comunidade podem estar relacionadas a questões sobre sexualidade, métodos contraceptivos e conhecimentos corporais. Além disso, percebeu-se a interferência de fatores culturais, questões de gênero, a falta de participação masculina e responsabilização da mulher. Identificamos, ainda, falas onde se percebe dificuldades de entendimento em relação ao planejamento familiar que podem estar relacionadas a necessidade de maior diálogo entre profissionais e clientela.
The present work shows a practice that reflected and dialogued about family planning with inhabitants of an urban village of a city in the state of Rio Grande do Sul - Brazil. The work used a qualitative research, in a convergent assistance type. To accomplish the research, dialogue groups of women and men of the village had been carried through. The number of women participating varied between four and seven and the number of men was five. It is based on the theoretical reflections of Robert Briceño-León, presented as the Seven Theses of the Sanitary Education for the Communitarian Participation. The goal was to know the people through a participative dialogue in the context of their community and to show their main expectations about sexuality and family planning. The effort was to know these men and women, letting them to know and to recognize themselves in situations of health educative interest. From the dialogue it was identified factors that can be determinative or interfere in the way people understand and proceed about the theme questions, beliefs on the corporal functions, cultural and religious beliefs, life style, economic situation, previous experiences, expectation in relation to the collateral effects, reproduction plans among others. It concludes that possible difficulties in the family planning in this community can be related to questions on sexuality, contraceptive methods and corporal knowledge. Moreover, it was perceived the interference of cultural factors, theme questions, the lack of masculine participation and the consideration of woman to be the responsible. We identify, yet, dialogues where it perceives difficulties of agreement in relation to the family planning that they can be related to the necessity of more dialogue between professionals and clients.
