237667.pdf: 455046 bytes, checksum: f4d99519950cd541e6650f7add2128c3 (MD5) / Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, que teve como objetivo compreender como a equipe de enfermagem em situação de urgência e emergência tem se comportado frente aos familiares no sentido de incluí-los ou excluí-los do atendimento de enfermagem e como estes últimos percebem esta situação. A coleta de informações foi realizada em uma unidade de urgência e emergência, localizada no interior do Rio Grande do Sul, através de encontros com a equipe de enfermagem que atua na unidade, e entrevistas semi-estruturadas com os familiares de pacientes em situação de urgência e emergência. Os participantes deste estudo foram 14 sujeitos da equipe de enfermagem e 11 familiares. A análise dos dados ocorreu ao longo do processo e o método utilizado foi o Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo, construído através das expressões chaves, idéias centrais e ancoragem. Desta análise surgiram diferentes discursos sobre a exclusão do familiar em situação de urgência e emergência. A perspectiva dos familiares: "A gente que ficar tranqüilo e quer atenção"; "A gente quer ficar junto"; " A gente quer ser atendido rápido com segurança e quer informação". A perspectiva da equipe de enfermagem: "O familiar como fonte de informação"; "O familiar atrapalha é leigo e interfere nos procedimentos de enfermagem, torna-se um incômodo"; "O familiar é esquecido, não recebe informações, ele aguarda lá fora"; "A equipe de enfermagem percebe sentimentos por parte dos familiares"; "Percebendo o familiar colocando-se no lugar dele"; "Nós somos mecânicos"; "Pensar, agir e sentir - Equipe de enfermagem"; "Um olhar da enfermagem para a inclusão do familiar - A reflexão permite novas maneiras de cuidar". Sabe-se que o assunto não se esgota aqui, mas justamente começa com um novo olhar, mais crítico e reflexivo sobre a atuação em serviços de urgência e emergência e a inclusão do familiar como pessoa que possui sentimentos, valores e necessidades que devem ser compreendidos, respeitados e atendidos pela equipe de enfermagem. Deste modo o cuidado de enfermagem precisa ir além do que os olhos podem ver, é necessário se permitir um verdadeiro encontro entre as pessoas que cuidam e aquele que é cuidado num processo de interação e troca de vivências.
This paper is a quality research carried out with the purpose of understanding how the nursing staff behaves in front of patients' family members in urgent situations and emergencies in order to have them included or excluded from the service and also how the family feels this situation. Information was collected at an emergency unit in the countryside in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, through meetings held with the nursing staff that works in the unit, and semi-structured interviews carried out with family members of patients in urgent situations or emergencies. There were 14 members from the nursing staff and 11 family members in the research. Data were analyzed during the process using the Discourse of the Collective Subject, which is built through key expressions, central ideas, and anchorage. From that analysis, several discourses arose on the matter of including or excluding family members from urgent situations and emergencies. From the family's perspective: "We want to stay calm and get some attention", "We want to stay together", "We want fast and safe service and we want information". From the staff's perspective: "Family members are a source of information", "Family members get in the way, they are lay people, they interfere on nursing procedures, and they can become a nuisance", "Family members are forgotten, they don't get information and wait outside", "nursing staff can notice family's feelings", "Family can be noticed by putting oneself in their situation", "We are mechanics", "Think, act, and feel - nursing staff", "One look from the nursing staff on including the family - reflection allows new ways of taking care". We know the subject does not come to an end here, but it starts with a new look, more critical and reflexive, on the performance at emergency centers and on the inclusion of family members as people with feelings, values, and needs that must be understood, respected, and taken care of by the nursing staff. That way, the care given by the nursing staff must go beyond where the eye can reach, and it is necessary to allow a real meeting between those in charge of taking care and those being taken care of in a process of interaction and exchange of experiences.
