A imprensa chapecoense será o espaço desta investigação buscando, nas entrelinhas da história, perceber de que maneira os discursos enunciados pelos veículos de informação constituíram e legitimaram um ideal de criança como #futuro homem para a nação#. Este trabalho busca compreender as representações sociais de criança e infância na imprensa escrita, tentando compreender de que forma essas manifestações reveladas pela imprensa estão articuladas a discursos e práticas sociais orientados por ideologias. As representações sociais concebidas aqui terão como referencial, entre outros, os estudos indicados por Minayo (1995). Para buscar as representações sociais de criança e infância na imprensa escrita levantaram-se as seguintes questões: como a ideia de criança e infância vinculada pela imprensa está relacionada a aspectos políticos e ideológicos? Em que medida a imprensa escrita contribui e promove um ideal de criança e infância? Como, quando e por que as crianças aparecem no jornal em um tempo/espaço determinado? De que maneira a criança serviu como objeto de práticas políticas e ideológicas no período abordado? Este estudo caracteriza-se como uma pesquisa histórico-documental tendo como fonte os primeiros jornais em
circulação na cidade de Chapecó. Para seleção e organização do material
utilizou-se da proposta de Análise de Conteúdo (BARDIN, 1979), assim como se amparou nos elementos de conteúdo midiático apresentado por Meyrowtz (2001). Para qualificar o tema desta investigação foi realizado um levantamento da produção acadêmica brasileira, apresentando de que maneira o tema/problema desta pesquisa vem sendo abordado. A tarefa posta por esta dissertação foi lançar alguns eixos de reflexão que contribuam para uma maior compreensão, sobre diferentes prismas, da forma como a infância e a criança são representadas pela imprensa escrita no período investigado. Buscou-se quebrar imagens, desvendar confrontos de representações, que são históricos e, possivelmente, compreender a infância e a criança com outro olhar contribuindo, desta maneira, para ampliar as discussões sobre Políticas Públicas para a Infância e principalmente garantir os Direitos da Criança. / The present investigation has as its objective to analyze childhood understood as a social condition of being a child, in the written press in Chapecó in the period from 1939 to 1979. The Chapecoense press will be the space for this investigation, looking through the history to realize in which way the speeches expressed by the means of information constituted and legitimized an ideal of child as #future man for the nation#. This work searches to understand the social representations of child and childhood in the written press, trying to understand in which way these demonstrations revealed by the press are articulated to speeches and social practices guided by ideologies. The social representations conceived here will take the studies indicated by Minayo (1995) as a referential system, among others. To look for the social representations of child and childhood in the written press some matters were raised: how is the idea of child and childhood linked by the press is related to political and ideological aspects? In which measure does the written press contribute and promote an ideal of child and childhood? How, when and why do children appear in the newspaper in a determined time/space? In which way did the child serve as an object of political and ideological practices in the boarded period? This inquiry is characterized as a document-historical inquiry based on the first
newspapers in circulation in the city of Chapecó. For the selection and organization of the material it was used the proposal of Content Analysis of (BARDIN, 1979), as well as it leaned in the elements of midiatic content presented by Meyrowtz (2001). To qualify the subject of this investigation an academic study was carried out in the Brazilian production, presenting the way the subject / problem of this inquiry is boarded. The task put by this dissertation launched some reflection axles that contribute to a bigger understanding on different prisms, in the form as the childhood and the child are represented by the written press in the investigated period. It was looked to break images, to solve confrontations of representations, which are historical and, possibly, to understand the childhood and the child with another glance contributing, in this way, to enlarge the discussions on Public Politics for the Childhood and mainly to guarantee the Child Rights.
