Previous issue date: 2006 / O objetivo do estudo foi analisar e comparar o nível de aptidão física relacionada à saúde de policiais militares, do gênero masculino na faixa etária de 20 a 40 anos, integrantes da Companhia Especial de Choque do Estado de Rondônia (COE). A amostra constitui-se de dois grupos, dos policiais militares com 58 sujeitos dividido em duas faixas etárias de 20 a 29 anos (n=22), e 30 a 39 anos de idade (n=36); o grupo controle com 53 sujeitos na faixa etária de 20 a 29 anos (n=23), e 30 a 39 anos de idade (n=30), selecionada por meio de amostragem intencional. Na coleta de dados, foi utilizada as medidas antropmétricas para verificar peso corporal, estatura corporal, dobras cutâneas tricipital, suprailíaca, subescapular, panturrilha. Para os testes aptidão física foram selecionados os seguintes: força abdominal (nº de rep. por min), força de membros superiores (nº de rep. por min), flexibilidade (cm), cardiorrepiratório (ml.kg.min). Os dados foram analisados pela estatística descritiva, freqüência absoluta, freqüência relativa, média, desvio padrão. Empregou-se o teste de análise de variância One-Way Anova e o Kruskal Wallis para comparação entre os dois grupos de estudo. Para todos os procedimentos estatísticos, utilizou-se o nível de significância de 5%, recorrendo ao programa SPSS versão 10.0. No que se referem as características antropométricas não se observou diferença significativa entre os grupos. Com relação a aptidão física relacionada à saúde na variável de força de membros superiores, apenas na faixa etária de 20 a 29 anos os policiais militares, mostraram superiores ao controle. Observou-se na faixa etária de 30 a 39 anos nas variáveis de força abdominal, força de membros superiores, VO2 máx., mostrou superioridade do grupo de policiais militares ao controle. O grupo controle percebeu-se melhor resultado no %G, apenas na faixa etária de 30 a 39 anos de idade. Baseados na distribuição de freqüência observam que nas variáveis de força abdominal, força de membros superiores e VO2 máx. a maioria do grupo de policiais militares e controle foram classificados na categoria igual e acima da média da referência-padrão utilizado no estudo. Detectou-se que na variável flexibilidade uma percentagem significativa em ambos os grupos e faixa etária ficaram abaixo da categoria de referência. No percentual de gordura (%G) ambos os grupos ficaram acima da média de referência, mostrando uma leve tendência de gordura localizada no tecido adiposo. ________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / The objective of the study was to analyze and to compare the level of related physical aptitude with the health of military policemen, of the masculine sort in the etária band of 20 the 40 years, integrant of the Special Company of Shock of the State of Rondônia (COE). The sample consists of two groups, the military policemen with 58 citizens divided in two etárias bands of 20 the 29 years (n=22), of 30 the 39 years of age (n=36); the group has controlled with 53 citizens in the etária band of 20 the 29 years (n=23), of 30 the 39 years of age (n=30), selected by means of intentional sampling. In the collection of data, it was used the anthropometric measures to verify body weight, body stature, skinfolds thickness (DC TR, SI, SE, PM). Tests to physical fitness them had been selected the following ones: abdominal force (nº of rep. for min), force of superior members (nº of rep. for min), flexibility (cm), cardiorrespiratório (ml.kg.min). The data had been analyzed by the descriptive statistics, absolute frequency, relative, average frequency, shunting line standard. The test of analysis of variance Anova One-Way was used and the Kruskal Wallis for comparison enters the two groups of study. For all the statistical procedures, the level of significance of 5% was used, appealing to program SPSS version 10.0. In what if they relate the characteristics anthropometric not if observed significant difference between the groups. With regard to related physical aptitude to the health in the 0 variable of force of upper members, only in the etária band of 20 the 29 the military policemen, had years shown superiors to the control. He observed themselves in the etária band of 30 the 39 years in the variable of abdominal force, force of superior members, VO2 máx., showed superiority of the group of military policemen to the control. The group control was perceived better resulted in %G, only in the etária band of 30 the 39 years of age. Based in the frequency distribution they observe that in the variable of abdominal force, force of superior members and VO2 máx. the majority of the group of military policemen and control had been classified in the equal category and above of the average of the reference-standard used in the study. It was detected that in changeable flexibility a significant percentage in both the groups and etária band had been below of the category of reference. In the percentage of fat (%G) both the groups had been above of the reference average, showing a light trend of fat located in the fabric adiposity.
